Really is it that hard? I'm shocked there are ZERO like this on the market. You slide whatever atty in/twist to lock in place/vape. Twist the bottom for air intake........

I still wait for this idea to be used....as I have for 1/2 a year now.

If only I had the cash to make a few mods/cause I have a few I know would do good on the market.

All require you too keep up with different adapters. This idea there would be NO ADAPTER needed Very very very different idea.......

some variation on a keyless drill chuck would certainly be the best answer. It would still need to be miniaturized though, and probably manufactured specifically for that purpose. it's an interesting idea, but probably not very practical to do.

Re: the OP.

I threw out just such an idea as a multiadapter... with pics.

The response was immediate: "too much trouble, buy an adapter". "Why don't you just buy an adapter?", "Looks like it won't work.", blah blah blah.

Long story short: People want to sell adapters. Don't interfere.

After a little of that sort of thing, I pretty much dropped any idea of interfering with the accepted status quo around here.

(Place plug for approved forum vendor here.)

There, my sense of cynicism feels refreshed!

Well..I don't sell adaptors and never have but coming up with a way to replace a one time purchase of a $2 adaptor seems like finding a solution in search of a problem. Adaptors provide a solid, mechanical connection and are typically very small and simple. Just not sure a more complicated universal connector is worth the effort.

Sometimes people have a different opinion on a topic without any ulterior motives.

Adapters are cheap and exist. Some sort of adjustable PV-sized chuck would be significantly more expensive than a simple adapter and does not currently exist. An adjustable adapter would also be larger, heavier, and more likely to break than the existing options. People aren't opposed to the idea because of some weird conspiracy, they're opposed to it because it's not a good idea.

Please reread what I posted. In fact, such a thing does exist. It just got buried in complaints from people saying it wasn't worthwhile buy an adapter, it won't work buy an adapter, adapters are cheap so buy an adapter, etc. even tho it was documented as being functional in theory and working splendidly with a 510. Of course, those objections were just their opinions.... and I DO note the periodic call from those who do, in fact, have an interest in just such a thing. I had such an interest myself until making the leap to a permanent atty design.

Adapters are irrelevant to me now.

So.... even tho the idea of a multiadapter is not a "good idea" in your opinion, as well as others, people keep asking for one. Hmmmm... why object to someone trying to find a new way? Must everyone conform to the accepted truth that they should "buy an adapter"?

Poppycock! Pigswallow, I say!
