..have a GOOD post setup?! Every rda dripper I see has side posts too damn close to the edge so that your coil/wick is smushed in the corner. Why dont they just move the posts closer to the middle so that there's more space? I dont get it...I dont see how it would be an airflow issue..

Really, all you need is 2 posts: one pos and one neg both moderately spaced in the MIDDLE of the deck. You can do dual coil builds with ease!...has this been done already? and why isnt it popular?

Im still using my Helio for its dual center-post. Instead of using the hole next to my positive post, I jump over to the other hole;)...this way I can get my coil more CENTERED, but it leaves me with alot of extra unwanted wire due to the outer post being so far away. This is the best setup ive used out of Igo-L,S,W, Nimbus, and Patriot.....But still, too many posts, and personally I dont like the size (23mm) of the Helio

are you talking about rebuildable dripper or rebuildable tank?

well a dripper has a good distance between the posts because it allows you to build a longer coil.
more coil and wick = more vapor.
try using a lower resistance wire, or twisted kanthal and more wraps so you have the same resistance coil and it fits well on the posts.

um, what? I'm having a hard time picturing what you mean. I like having my coil right near the edge of my deck, so the air hole hits it directly.

What I'd like to know is, why are there no rda's that you can take the cap off of without it being screwed onto something? Just give me a base section that's 1/4 inch thick, maybe with a little knurling.

My bad, I meant RDA..dripper.

I dont think thats why they build them like that. Its pretty uncommon that people build their coils that wide and that still wont solve the wick being crammed in the corner issue.

My coils are around 2mm but thats me. Anyway, you could still build wide coils with the setup I proposed..

What part dont you understand? edit: I drew a pic.
I dont understand why having your coil right next to the hole is that important.. I had that setup before and got the same results with my Helio setup where the coil sits in the middle. Its only a few extra mm's away from the hole but the air is hitting the coil directly in the middle of the coil as opposed to diagonally like most setups...my holes are 1/16 and im getting plenty

I think we're probably running different kinds of coil/wick setups. I use micro coils with very short wicks. I don't necessarily have my coil legs the same length so my coil ends up being parallel to my air hole with plenty of room on either side for my wick. I also don't have larger air holes(yes 1/16") is large for me. You don't HAVE to have your coil centered between the two posts.

If your'e gonna have extra wire like that, you could do the same thing with my proposed setup to have the coil be closer to the hole....plus Ide like to have alot of extra room for my cotton on both sides

It's less expensive to have the center post in the middle. That way the hole can be drilled on a lathe. It's not really a problem for me to deal with but I agree it would be slightly easier if it were offset.

The RM2 from Reos mods has the positive post offset, but it has a hole through the center for bottom feeding.

Why do you have very short wicks, Lessifer?

Through trial and error I've found that short wicks are most efficient for me. Long cotton wicks don't seem to do anything in my drippers except hold juice that never makes its way to my coil. My wicks are just long enough to touch my deck, and I've never had an issue with dry hits, but PV goes from vertical to horizontal as I use it. I've seen people who vape with it horizontal for extended periods, that might not wick as well.

Here's an old pic, and they're vertical, but you'll get the idea.

Well,my guess is that it's easiest to put the center post right above the positive end of the battery. Having the positive post in the center gives you a direct path to the battery and moving it off center creates a more complex (and more expensive, and potentially bulky) design. At least that's my take on it.

I don't know of any that aren't bottom flow, like the a7. My wick isn't smushed. Maybe use a little less if it bothers you that much?

Yeah, what's up with that?
