I tried out a juice at the local vape shop and it was pretty good. it was called "The goods" from TastyVapor or something.
But when I brought it home and loaded it in to my vape, it tasted just like some medicine/herb.
And this actually happens many times and I just don't know why.
Every time this happens I go back to smoking and I give e-cigs a try again sometime later and the cycle continues.
FYI I use Provari Mini and just recently got a Subtank Mini.

Is it that my tank was new? juice needs steeping? Or could it be that juice without nicotine just taste different once nicotine is put in? (Mine was 3mg)

It's been over 6 months since I quit vaping and I just got back in today but this taste is putting me off again like last time. But I did get a new tank (Kangar Subtank Mini) and I completely forgot which voltage I need to set!

I have a 1.2ohm atomizer.
Currently I'm vaping at 3.2V and I'm not really satisfied with the vape.
I fear of going higher for the sake of last time I quit it was due to getting sick of inhaling burnt hits.

Nicotine does change the flavor and/or throat hit of the juice. 3mg shouldn't do to much. The juice may need to steep a bit espescially if it was a zero and the vape shop added the nic. You shouldn't in that case vape it for at least an hour and keep shaking it. Lastly if you have a new coil in the tank it takes like a half a day for the coil to break in and the flavor to change. Usually when coils are new they taste funny for a little while. Hope this helps a bit !

I was always sensitive to new coil taste...
My husband never was.....

Always took awhile for me to get past that flavor ....sometimes a half a tank, but then my flavors would start to come thru.
Try taking a couple of good puffs....10 or 15 and don't inhale them.....just pull some juice thru that coil.

Keep at it and play with your voltage/wattage till it tastes good....you will get there

If your tank is wicking properly, 3.2v is a bit on the low side and might not be vaporizing your juice properly. At this setting with a 1.2 ohm coil you are only generating around 8.5 volts of power. Try bumping it up to at least 3.7 volts. The next time you go to the shop where you buy you juice bring a clean tank with a fresh coil and ask to try the juice with your equipment. Also inquire as to whether they recommend steeping for any of the ejuices you are considering for purchase and if so seek advice for their recommended method. Buy the smaller sized bottles until you are sure that it is a flavor you are going to like. A reputable retailer should be more than happy to help you enjoy your purchase. After all, that's what will get you to come back.

You said you tried it in the store. Is it possible that what you bought was just a bad batch maybe? If you are a regular customer, I am sure they may exchange it and see if that is possibly the problem. So sorry you are having this issue.

There are so many great vendors online, maybe buy some when they are on sale and see if it is something you like. Here is a thread that lists some very good deals.

Consistency and being down right frugal is what got me interested in DIY. I have always preferred what I have made to what I have purchased. That maybe an option you could look into at some point. Good luck to you and I hope you find a juice that makes your taste buds dance.
