We are paying attention to your posts and we are well versed in the ANTZ's litany of bogus scare tactics. It is why so many of us see a significant similarity in your posts and the tripe spewed out by the ANTZ''s. The shoe fits you well. Act indignant if you like, we aren't buying it.
After half a lifetime of being treated like a plague carrier for being a smoker, it was a breath of fresh air to find a forum like ECF where a happier and more level point of view is on display. This kind of response is sad and destructive, especially given what is at stake at the moment. Fifth column agitation, trying to turn reasonable people away from a reasoned and intelligent discussion, is exactly how opposition groups work from inside an organisation. We need reasoned and intelligent discussion to make good vaping available to everyone, please don't stifle it just because it isn't your point of view.
The only way to defeat the political and societal arguments against vaping is to really understand all viewpoints and be able to defeat them with better ones. This type of attitude will kill that ability in this group.
Now flame me if you want, I'm just someone who wants this to work for lots of other people.

Sorry, do I sound a bit jaded?
I might be a bit jaded
In all seriousness - good post.
The e-cig industry will have to some how pull together, generate massive profits, hire lobbyists to pay off law makers then and only then will we see a shift in opinion.

Hey GM - found that new report on no link between lung cancer/2nd hand smoke - it's not the one we were discussing earlier in this thread - this was only presented this year - just FYI.
BTW, First timer to the ECF. I was googling some stuff on battery mods and found a post on here. GREAT SITE. I hope to be a regular. I was a 14 year smoker before I started vaping 3 months ago, and have been smoke free since. I've stopped coughing as of late November, ya know, the one that's been with me for 6 years. I breathe easier, and have started jogging again... seriously. My wife hated the smell and everything about smoking, and I was getting embarrassed to smoke in front of my 4 year old, "your breath stinks daddy". She bought me the Iron Man mod and is encouraging me to "keep it up". I really hope for the sake of the nations health, they don't mess with this stuff, but then again they put their fingers in EVERYTHING. I, for one, am a believer that they should wait to legislate on any of this. It doesn't take a health major to figure out you shouldn't play in traffic, nor do I believe you need a doctorate to figure out that water vapor is infinitely safer than a 500 degree ember, three inches from your face. But hey, if common sense was so common, it wouldn't be held in such high regard.
Gotta be careful with that consensus thing...otherwise you get hit right upside the head by that "Global Warming" whiffleball batWhen the scientific community the world over has a general consensus on something, regardless of the country they're from, then I think I'd be safer listening to them then to two guys who were paid by a corporation who has already been proven to lie about the dangers of FIRST hand smoke, let alone second.
Pfizer steps in ... errr, I mean RWF... By donating a million to collect testimonies for obama care site. Interesting. There is in AHA here
ObamaCare and Smokers
Johnson & Johnson's baby powder was/is a dusting bath of CARCENOGENS. I wonder how many of those babies grew up with lung problems.Yep - even the surgeon general's report (often considered the gold standard in the field, I think) doesn't paint a very clear link between second hand smoke and cancer. Especially among those exposed as children.
But as I said earlier, the real impact is from cardio events.
Hi. My 2 cents says that if they want to tax nicotine they will first have to eat their words for saying they're taxing tobacco because it is bad for you.
Money, simple as that.
