Why no options?

I've been thinking about how everyone likes options and likes to customize their PVs. With the exception of ProVari and NexGen (if they ever go into production), there doesn't seem to be many high quality APVs where you can pick and chose many options. I would like to see a high quality VV/VW APV where you could pick from a large number of colors (and textures perhaps), maybe battery options and other choices. I know GLV allows you to make all kinds of selections like this, but as of yet, I don't think they have a VV or VV/VW model in production. They also have many more choices available than does ProVari. I did forget the VV Reo, so I guess there's one more. I'm just not crazy about the way they look. So does everyone think there's a market, that's not being represented, for high quality, highly customizable, APVs that come with a solid warranty? As for the GLV product, they look pretty sweet, but don't seem to be very popular. Does anyone have any ideas as to why?

The market is there. The question remains how big is the market to risk the investment?

It would be far more costly to offer multiple cosmetic options than to offer a vanilla model. Just take for instance something simple as a cone sleeve for a single popular mod. There are already a few options in limited production by multiple manufacturers. Could you make one that is either better or at least unique from the others that would sell and pay off the investment?

OCD at IBTanked will soon be offering a top cone beauty ring for the Provari. The investment in securing a manufacturer entailed ordering a quantity in 4 figures to make them financially feasable to make and sell. If they sell well, you made a great decision. If they don't, you take a huge loss.

there is always the option of buying a mod you are interested in and sending it out for custom finishes, just cerakote (the provari and futura finish) by themselves have several 100 to choose from. and a few people have done up mods with a wicked cool translucent finish.

theres not really any sales potential in having tubes done up before hand then sell 3 out of 50, and the few that do offer a wide range of colors usually have a delay as they have to send them out themselves.

in that respect if you are willing to put in the time and footwork searching for refinishers. you can really have a truly custom one of a kind model of something.

And what options exactly, other than color, do you get with this overpriced device????

Hmmmm...

The person who makes it is in the USA, and can be reached by phone if one has questions.

The device has a warranty.

The device can be sent back for repairs if necessary.

The electronics used (Buzz Pro) have been around and proven for years.

It always makes me shake my head when folks who spent countless thousands of dollars on paper, tobacco, and filters call ANY type of vape-gear overpriced.
