There's nothing wrong with tube mods...they're fun to play with and some of them look pretty cool. They're great for lending out to folks who want to give vaping a try (not everyone can afford a Reo...or a Provari for that matter) and they make great dedicated drippers. And a lot of people use them so they have their place (whatever keeps you off the stinkies and all that).

But the Reo, in my opinion, is in a class by itself and has an entirely different function than a standard tube mod (at least in my little corner of the Universe). The Reo is for the adults (although my wife might argue that point with me). It's for the people who have figured out what they want and are done playing "chase the vape". It's the one that always goes out with me when I leave the house and it's the one I always reach for when I just want to relax and have a vape. There is really no comparison between the two in my opinion.

Am I likely to buy more tube mods? Yup...like I said, they're fun to play with and show off to my friends. But when I'm not playing with coils or atomizers and I'm doing the things everyone else does as they go through life it's the Reo I have in my hand...'cause that's all I need.

Also, I giggle and clap my hands whenever I look at it.

Father forgive them for they know not what they do :)

I have a brand new, never vaped VVWoodvil....(Walnut/Curly Maple)

I can't bring myself to do anything but polish it.

My VVGrand is an absolute workhorse for me. I take it everywhere, it's by far my favorite Reo.(it has the Reomizer I on it) its so perfect I keep the RM2 on my Grand which keeps my coil building skills sharp.

It is all about keeping of the stinkies, but even just holding and polishing a woodvil is pretty damn cool. (I do occasionally use my purpleheart/purpleheart 18650 Woodvil)

Good stuff. I love seeing all the new Reo owners proclaiming the virtues. Would like to see more people picking up a Reo as their first mod to quit smoking though, but I don't think a phil review is going to do that.......

oddly enough, i find i can totally understand that. my Woodies have all come from the classies.

not sure what i'd do with a brand new Woodvil...

... unless, of course, i had 2,3,4... of them :)

I'm vaping off my woodvil right now. It's a beast. Im The kind of dude that would drive a Ferrari to work everyday too if I had one (and drove to work) My wife is exquisite too but I don't just look at her :) sometimes I run my fingers thru her hair.

These things are just too (((( AWESOME )))) to leave alone. But I do treat it with the same respect I do with all my REOs.

I used to think wood was not for me either. It's like getting REOcized all over again once you get one. All I can think is "I need atleast one more" :)

I emailed Mr. Busardo. He said he had tried a few bottom feeders, but not the REO. He said that he had never reviewed the REO because he's never been offered one for review. Somebody get this man a REO so he can stop toying with all that junk he reviews!!!

Anybody planning on ordering a mod better get their order in before he reviews one. :D

I know you're well-intentioned, but even if I didn't agree with Rob, I'd respect his decision not to do this. As it is, the REO is very special because Rob doesn't have to hand out promotional REOS for review. As far as I can tell, he's selling all he makes.

You may feel the need for confirmation of your mod choice by someone like Phil, but this could backfire on you. His subjective opinion of it may be less than stellar. He might give it a no-thumbs or even a thumbs down, depending on how important any little issues he had with it are to him, and even how he was feeling that day. I've watched almost all his videos and have seen this.

This is JMO... take it FWIW. As for me, I don't think I've watched a video review since getting the Grand. Everything else is... meh.

Nico, I wasn't inferring that Rob should send Phil a REO nor that I need to have my mod of choice justified. I attribute a lot of my success with vaping to Phil. I used to spend hours watching his videos just learning. I haven't watched one of his videos in quite a while. Have you seen some of the stuff he's been reviewing lately? Some of the stuff gives me a good chuckle (iTaste 134). I just feel like he would have another "I get it" moment if he ever gets his hands on the REO. Phil has a HUGE following. I can only imagine how many folks he would help if he stopped reviewing the shotty stuff and decided to review something of value.

My issue with my woodville is nothing much fits it unless i get it modified - RM2? nope! A7? nope! All i have to use on it is a killer clone.

If Rob makes new ones i'm sure he'll address this and then i might have a go at one. But my all day beast is a plain black metal Grand.

T

I use a Hornet on my mini woodvil. Fits perfect and works great! Would be nice to have a nice milled brass RM2 on it but I'll get over it.
The looks, the feel of the wood, the SIDE button and stronger hit from the Woodvil more than makes up limited RBA selection. IMO

I thinks it's kinda cool knowing we have the best vaping tool on the market and not everyone knows about it. Feel like we are 1 up on others.( Cheshire Cat grin)! Our little secret. ;) I LOVE it when a tube modder sees the clouds coming out of my REO and they look in amazement and say "what the he-- is that"?? Let me see that!!!! They see my eat your heart out look as I walk away. :)

It has been years since I sent a mod out for review . I dont advertise never have . If you folks ever want wood mods again I think it would be a good idea to pass on the super star reviewers . Not to mention I miss building wood mods

"I miss building COCOBOLO mods".

My vote is to go with Rob on this one, it sounds like he's happy with the press he gets from us. If he gets overloaded and loses the enjoyment of making them, who know what the result will be. Thanks for the great product Rob, just the handful of people in this forum will probably keep you busy for a long time.
