Are there alternate/numerical names for the VK?

thanks

I have wondered that myself. The generic name for it is KR808D-1, but I think that V4L is the only vendor that has the manual batteries for it, or the extra longs (at least last time I looked). And since Steve and V4L can't be beat in terms of customer service, I am hooked for life! ;)

I have a different take. There are hundreds of sites out there selling E-Cigs. Some even use the same cartomizers that the VK uses and don't call them cartomizers, (though I'm not certain why but someone will be able to fill this in).

Steve has a brand, Vapor King. If you cruise enough of those WEB sites you'll find that many of them are not represented either if they don't use the generic reference like 510 901 etc and some don't because they feel they need to make their product slightly different, or they may in fact be different. There is a lot of competition out there for the more well known model numbers.

Nowhere does V4L refer to their product as a KR808D-1 because there is a difference between the VK and the KR808D-1. Steve and company are building a brand the makes it different from the crowd and that makes it special. Smart man!

Sorry to be so clinical about it but I have been studying some of those other sites pretty closely and that's my opinion. I'm in the computer business and WEB analysis is one of the things I do so I got exposed.

I would definitely like to see a KR808D-1 forum. It's certainly popular. I have one ordered and can't wait to compare it to the 510. (And the 306, for that matter, which I do love so for dipping.)

I haven't read ANY complaints about the KR808D-1 anywhere -- granted, there's fewer people using it than say, the 510. But still. A forum that lists all suppliers and where parts can be had would be very cool.

I don't think Steve wants to be in a KR808 forum. I think we'll see a VK forum, even if it's later rather than sooner.

A 510, whether it's a Dura, Yeti, Titan, or Joye, is a 510 (at least as far as I know). The price may be different from one vendor to another, but the e-cig is the same. I think the same is probably true for the other 'number' models. Steve is altering the vaping properties of his product.

Like leeshor said so well, "Steve and company are building a brand the makes it different from the crowd and that makes it special."
