Why should I buy a REO?

I'm a longtime loyal Joye ego user, except I have switched to clearomizers instead of Joye tanks/carts. Trying to figure out the REO thing...

OK, I see you can use a bottle of juice, that's good...but what if you are a regular juice-switcher?

I see you can replace with ordinary batteries. That's good.

Wood version looks very cool...like that.

Otherwise, what am I missing? Why do this over an Ego battery and clearomizer?

Oh, and the "squeeze the bottle" thing instead of a button...seems annoying? No???

if you get one you are in for a huge surprise!! i started with ego-ts as a first mod. the reo is like from another perfect world in comparison to an ego. depending on the reo you choose it will take a different battery, like 18650, for grands and woodvil grands, 18490 if you can get lucky enough to get one. 14500 for the mini and mini woodvil.
the vape you get will be like none you have ever had if an ego is all you have ever used. night and day difference.
the squeeze bottle is really cool, nothing annoying about it in my mind, it makes things so simple and simple is what i was after. no more filling tanks and cartos. just fill your bottle and go.

It comes with an extra bottle and you can order more from the site. Also, if you just want to try another flavor, have an atty on the REO, then throw some drops in it and vape, or change the atty to do that. Superior Customer Service from Rob. Great community and knowledgeable friendly REO users. Almost perfect. What are ya waiting for? You know you want one!

If you switch flavors often, the clearos and eGo are probably a better option.

The advantages of the Reo are great on-board juice capacity, great battery life, and terrific performance with atomizers, which a lot of vapers prefer over cartos & clearos. Plus, the metal Reos are nigh indestructible.

:)

I have 6-8 ego batts set up with clearo's in different flavors...so I'll still have those...trying to determine if this is going to give me something dramatically better...other than some very cool looking woodies.

I would say the reason to use this over an Ego and Cartomizer or clearomizer would be consistency, capacity and ruggedness.
The bottle squeezing is not the power mechanism. The bottle squeezing is to wet the filler of a cartomizer or the wick of an atomizer. While clearomizers may work on a REO they kind of defeat the purpose of a bottom-feeder as your juice supply is held in the self-contain plastic bottle within this device. The REO and Woodvils also have power buttons just like the Ego. As a matter of fact, I recommend Egos to anyone who is getting started since they aren’t really sure whether this technology is for them and if they really want to make a larger investment or not. I too found switching flavors appealed to me for a time. However after nearly a year and a half I found that I liked coffee vapes with my coffee in the morning, I liked fruity vapes during the day and then a cocktail type vape in the evening to go with a tall rum & coke after dinner.

The REO lets me fill a 3ml or 6ml bottle that contain about 3 to 6 times the amount of e-liquid you can get into a clearomizer and simply squeeze the bottle anytime the coil of the atomizing devices gets a little dry. Oh and I've never heard of any juices making a plastic bottle crack ever. You would typically tilt you clearomizer to get the wicks wet but you have to refill you clearomizer many more times than I do before my bottle runs empty. Additionally, you EGO contains a proprietary battery ranging from 650mah to 1000mah that cost 3-5 times as much as the batteries recommended for the REO and these general purpose batteries handle varying loads much better than an EGO if you delve into a low-resistance offerings. Additionally the REO metal mods are wireless and have been reported to have been driven over by a truck without failure continuing to work as expected. The metal versions can even be put into the dishwasher for cleaning(with battery and atomizing devices removed) without issue. That sums up ruggedness.

For consistency, when I used the clearomizers, the vape changed as I worked through the day. The juice began turning dark almost immediately. As the juice level dropped the Ego needed to be tipped or shaken to get the wicks wet enough to transfer to the coil. This involved jumping through hoops over a period of 2-3 hours. A reo grand with two full 6ml bottles , a fresh 18650 battery and a fresh atomizer will get me through nearly 4 full days away from home with only a single bottle change and a couple battery charges/changes. I typically get over 12 hours from a IMR 18650 1600mah battery and can get almost 18 waking hours from an 18650 2200mah protected battery using a LR 2.0 Ohm atomizer or cartimizer.

I do not work for Rob in any capacity but I have recently stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. I hope this helps. Brew

I am intrigued...how hard is it to get the woodvil grands? None of them are actually for sale on the site.

A small batch of 18650 Woodvils are in the assembly phase of production along with a very large batch of variable voltage Woodvils. Hopefully, they'll go on sale before the end of this month. You have to stalk this thread to be aware of when they're going to be up for sale and then plan on buying one as soon as they're available. There's always been a high demand for Robs wood mods because they're awesome.

Some of them are so beautiful, especially the woodies, I am drooling...But I am trying to control myself. Also it doesn't seem that you can actually buy any of the wood versions...they are just out there to taunt you.

I like the mechanical/simplicity aspect...implies a much stronger lifetime performance. But Joye puts out good stuff too...I am a heavy vaper and get many months out of an Joye battery....

You'll get a little more power with the REO,4.2-3.5v as the battery discharges.
The eGo,as far as I know,is regulated to 3.4v till it needs rechargeing.
But I'm not an expert

I thought that required a specific diswashing soap. You can run them under hot water though and all is good. Brew

Nothing against Brew1961's post, but putting your metal Reos in the dishwasher will most likely change the color. That process has been dubbed Xanaloging and it's irreversible.

NO DETERGENT!!! We did it with one mod and no detergent and it came out okay...don't really recommend it though...but this really isn't as effective as boiling some water and either flushing the mod with it or dropping the mod in a bowl of piping hot water for about 10 minutes or even just running the tap on hot and flushing the mod out that way. No need to waste a dishwashing cycle for one mod. And as always...be sure to remove the battery, atty/carto, and juice bottle before a cleaning.
