Yeah, at first I thought that was it too.. but alas, it was not.

I torqued that thing down with a wrench (and tore up the finish on the atty) creating a solid contact. Like i said, it would create a ton of vapor... then fizzle out for no reason.

Even tested it dripping directly onto the atty, same inconsistencies.

Not the atty, below the atty - the adapter... if that was fixed you wouldn't have had to crank... Just so you know.

I don't recall seeing anything like that under the atty, so you may be right.

I had emailed Parked about it and never got a response, so I just got rid of it.

Understood on not getting a response... and as long as you got a decent price, that's cool.

I was hesitant sticking a screwdriver down the atty casing shaft (without the atty) but saw the slotted head down there and thought I'd try it and it worked. I wouldn't have gone further and I'm guessing there is something on the Janty forum threads on it but really didn't see that - I did see where people were having problems seating the atty and it can be a bit of a job. It isn't as easy as screwing in a atty on the 510 but I measured one that I had properly seated so I knew how far I had to go. I was a bit 'nervous' after having read some of those threads before I got mine but the 'using the cart top as a wrench' really helped - thanks to JustJulie or Elendil... I forget now.

So, Bandit, did you go to a high volt mod? Or considering it?

In your bushes, watching you undress
I have a GG on the way (maybe 2), and want to buy a few others like the Silver Bullet (add 6v mod).

I don't know how long I'll be vaping, gotta wait to see what the doc says about these odd new chest pains. If it isn't related to vaping, I'll continue and enjoy my new hot rods.

Thanks for the info. I always look forward to your posts, they are always quite helpful.

Welcome. And thanks for the comments. Going to the doc next week. Should be interesting since he's been harping on the cigs for a while. GG and Prodigy would be possibles for me if I ever decided to go hi-volt. I'll look for your review of the GG.

Kent C - Nice to see a fellow Ohioan on the boards!!

Glad to se your comments. I just ordered a JS V2 and have been a bit nevous about it after reading some of the rants in the Janty sub forum! To me it seems to have everything going for it! Even though the batts are not huge mAh rated, the USB pas built-in that charges should make it last a long time. I vape alot at my desk and in the car. If I'm USB'd during those times I'm hoping that batt life should never be an issue. I've been a 510 user from the start but the whole battery thing has been a turn off! It seems like I spend my whole day figuring out which ones are charged, which are spent and keeping the whole thing going. I cycle 3 batts now and it's a pain. I did order some of the 280 mAh units from TW. I think I'll still use the 510's for given situations and the bigger batts should help. Don't get me wrong, I love the 510 (sepecially the form factor. I use a pen clip and it's always in my top pocket ready to go). It'll be interesting to see if the JS V2 totally replaces the 510 for me.

I'll have to wait till I get mine to see what you're talking about with the atty seating adjustment. I may PM you when I get it if I can't figure it out.

Feel free to PM. You'll like the JS. While I always carry the extra batt with me when I go out, I've never had to use it. I have the car hooked up with the 1 amp Belkin dual usb so when I leave the car I'm fully charged. I have yet to try the 112 atty (much acclaimed) but may order some today. The others I've tried work fine. I had a mesh come off the bridge of one but it still works which surprises me. I'm sending it back to Parked soon though.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately Dietsmokes is out of 801 atty's right now so I won't have an extra. Do the 801 atty's have decent life or high failure rates? Should I be concerned I don't have a back up?

Also, I use the PTB mod on all my 510 carts. Do they work okay on the 801's?

I haven't tried all the variations but I'm not a fan of PTB... I have the straw mod and the oem filler - works fine for me. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try out PTB. I found it leaked and then dried out quickly... anything overnight. It doesn't wick well.... imo.

I haven't lost an 801 atty yet, and I just bought some 112's which are compatible. If you happen to lose one PM me. You might put where in Ohio you're at in your profile - see the sticky in the new member forum on that. There are many that could help out if you get caught without juice/atty/batts, etc.

They were out of extra attys when I ordered, too. So I ordered a few cheap 801 attys from Health Cabin. Strangely enough, they seem to actually work better than the Janty atty. Go figure.

Yep... once you go 5 volt, you'll never go back.

.

But the JS V2 is 3.7v isn't it? SO here's a question - is there a 5v batt that could work/fit in the JS?

I'm gonna get a taste of 5volts soon. I ordered a Pure Smoker Pass thru that will run my 510 attys at 5v. Will it kill my atty's though?

Just don't run the atty dry. Always keep it moist. Don't overflow the atty either. Too much liquid will cause it to be over worked.
When you notice the atomizer requires a harder draw, clean with 100% alcohol and dry. I use Everclear on my atty's.. works great.

I can honestly say, It took me about 2 weeks to "learn" the proper use of the 5 volts. And of course about 4 atomizers!

I really love my js. I am also into all my high volt mods. I think that if anything I am having a harder time going back to my original DSE901 kit, the manual battery does help though. But as for the Janty Stick, I think that it is one of the best 3.7v units out there in terms of taste with the right juice. I definitely plan to jump on a cameo when it comes out, I am really curious to see how it performs. I recently got a kissbox extended and it's is not bad either but no where near the stick.
