It will be interesting to discover how much e-cigs will impact tobacco companies profit in the future. Many smokers of lesser means may not be able to afford the cost of starter kits, spare parts, etc. Scraping $4 together for a pack of cigs is easier for them. And some smokers may be reluctant to try anything new. Cigarettes will always be in demand, hopefully enough to keep e-cigs off RJ Reynold's radar. But I agree that we can expect some regulation and tax as the popularity of e-cigs grow.
