Thanks for all of your responses! You all seem much happier than the "Smoking Cessation" forum members that I have been reading about. Okay, I have read the e-cig reviews. I am still confused. This is what I'm looking for:
1. Looks and feels like a real cig
2. U.S. company with reasonable shipping
3. Good tobacco flavor
4. Company has a phone number
5. Offers refillable cartridges
6. Offers the refill juice
I am tired and confused
Thanks:confused:

I have found that the riva works great, and another thing I have found out to my great surprise is that I prefer other flavors over tobacco...I was so sure that I wanted a tobacco flavor but I really like the flavor of toffee, caramel, choc etc...good luck, I quit cigarettes completely my first day with the e-cig and have no plans of going back.

Hey Jeat, welcome to ECF!

To be perfectly honest... if you want a reliable device with a good amount of power, you're going to have to make a *small* compromise on size.

I've tried a couple of the super-mini's (real cig sized), and even the good ones, the ones I liked, weren't quite enough to get me off cigs. And from all the experiences I've read here, the majority of people seem to find the same thing.

If you want a better chance of being able to kick it on the first try... I'd look at either a Kr808D-1, or a Joye 510.

The Kr808D-1 has the advantage of being a 2-piece design, so easier to figure out. However, when you factor in cartomizers, it is probably slightly more expensive. You can even this out a bit by re-filling and washing your cartomizers I prefer the flavor and throat hit of cartomizers - for me, it's the best I've tried, but there is a little less vapor.

The Joye 510 is a 3-piece, probably like what you've read about. There's more fiddling involved, but it's a very versatile device with great vapor, but usually less throat hit than the Kr808D-1. Because it's so popular, you can find parts just about anywhere, and I hear their atomizers are the best around.

They are both a bit longer and wider than a 100 cigarette. It's still cig-shaped, and trust me, you'll get used to the size very quickly. It's worth it for the performance they provide.

If you absolutely must have something that's exactly cig-sized, then the M401 models are the ones I've heard the best about. I've tried one, and it was nice. I liked it. But not as good as my Kr808D-1. And not as good as the 510 I've tried.

For the Kr808D-1, I had a great experience with ElectroNicStix. $35 for a kit, fast shipping, and Jason is really cool.

For the 510, ElectroNicStix also sells that, but I've heard nothing but wonderful things about CigNot as well.

I bought a 510 from electroinc ash and have dont have anything bad to say about them. I also ordered some extra juice from them and am happy with the purchase.

I can say that I have been smoke free for 10 days. I received my 510 10 days ago and have not looked back. For my vaping style, I go through about 2 batteries a day. But having hte PCC with me, I never run out. Very handy and I recommend it.

I don't think you can find one that "feels" like a cig. The weight of any battery will be more than weight of tabacco. I first got one that looked like a cig but quickly found out that for my use the battery life was too short and I spent too much time swaping out and charging batteries. So came to this fourm and researched. Ended up getting an ego which is working for me after trying a few cart mods which I also found on this fourm. The 510 is very popular and if you use carto is a two peice unit from my understanding (have not tried any yet).

I quit using a KR808d-1
best choice IMO
I've turned 7 ppl into vapers, and everyone of them got the kr808d-1
I have a 510 as well but I don't get as good a hit off of it but there's TONS of accessories you can find for both of these models and most suppliers carry stuff for both too. It's really all about preference as with anything...

(however I also have a prodigy V3 and use strictly 510 attys on it and THAT'S a different story. EVERY HIT on that thing is satisfying with PLUMES of vapor but the thing definitely doesn't look like a ciggie :))

i first ordered the V4L shorty (kr808d-1 model) in white with some orange cartos to look like a cig and it was ok but the battery life was too short (they do make longer batteries)so i had an ego in less than a week after that. They offer juice and empty cartos and i believe they have a phone number, i could be wrong about the phone number though, but they are in illinois i believe. they get some good reviews on customer service on the forums here and they have tobacco flavors that are suppose to be pretty good like hilton and cowboy flavor.

There is a post or two like your everyday. I made a post like this too 6-7 months ago. Most of us did.

I started on a KR808 and I quit smoking...

Then I moved to an eGo - now I have a couple mods and I use my eGos. Using my eGo now...

The odds say, get an eGo... a riva or a tornado...

Get some carts, cartomizers and a drip tip.
Get 2 extra atomizers.
Get juice from 2-4 different suppliers.

Make sure to read all 6-7 parts of DonDaBoomVape's "Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping."

If it absolutely has to look like a real cig... which chances are you'll get over in a heartbeat... then get a KR808... and a bunch of catomizers.

The whole thing gets starts getting uncomplicated after your first couple of buys.

I first tried over a year ago with the dse901 and some crappy eliquid. I didn't quit successfully until I got a high voltage mod, the prodigy v3, about 2-3 months ago.

But i would think that something like the joye eGo would be a good start, and would have a nice enough throat hit using a low-resistance atomizer to satisfy most smokers.
