Why use RBA's?

I am fairly new to vaping but have jumped in head first. I started almost three months ago with an eGO-C and some disposable atomizers. Since then I have tried dripping juices (I seem to like this best for flavor but don't like having to keep dropping the juice in), vivi-nova's (mini and regular), tank with with cartomizer (my second favorite way to vape), the iClear 30 and tons of evod BCCs.

I then saw this RBA being sold at my local b&m and it piqued my interest. I guess my question is why do people use them? The main thing I want in a delivery system is taste, I am looking for a way to vape that gives me the best flavor. I am thinking of picking one up today but thought I would try asking about them on the forums before I spent the money.

Do they provide better vape production, flavor or do people like them because they like to tinker? I like tinkering so that could be a selling point. Thanks in advance!

When you have an RBA it allows you to customize your vape experience. And yes the tinkering is fun for me =] I actually set up my own vape section in my "man cave" and thats where you can find me most of my time after work building coils =]

I switched because of the flavor you can get out of an RBA. It really depends on how you build your wick and coil. When you set one up right, the flavor, vapor, and throat hit is awesome. The best RBA I've tried so far is the Kayfun 3.1.

The main reason for an RBA or RDA is as previously stated. Customizing your vape experience. You can build a sub ohm coil or a 1.5 or a 2 or a 3ohm and everything in between. You can also do a dual coil if you please, a micro coil ect.. The list goes on and on..

If flavor is key, get a RDA and drip.. My .02

I agree with raqball. You really get to find your sweet spot. For example ths is my set up today.
Twisted 30g kanthal reading .6 ohms on my RSST with 1/16 SS cable. Vapes like a dream for me but i know people that dont like it at all. The best part for me when it comes to RBAs is once you find that sweet spot its amazing but the sky is the limit and thats why I like them so much.

RBA's came into their own because of the FDA scare. I started using them because I wanted to know how incase everything got banned.
That being said I still like the atties that I've always used, and set my RDA's up to taste just like them.

A lot of us aren't interested in all of the radical stuff you hear about with RBA's, and would rather just be able to duplicate the great vape that we have always liked with them. The real world difference is that replacing an atomizer costs $5 to $20, and a new wick & coil for a RDA costs $0.05 to $0.10.

I've only had experience with an RDA, built my first coil which came out to about 1.2 ohms and put it on a k100 and: the flavor, TH and vapor were phenomenal! A night and day experience with my NETs juice of choice. And the RDA's can be had for cheap, under $10 and a few dollars more for silica and Kanthal.

Start small, with something like the mini-RDA/Phoenix V4/Smok Squid and work your way up, learn to build coils and test them. Then move up to the Genesis style and others. Best way to do it, it's cost effective and lesser investment until you know it's something you can do, and want to do.

It's been working for me.

The best first time RDA is the squid. That's its nickname because it comes pre-assembled with 8 wicks. It even has NR wire on the leads. Best way to drip this is to have a good vape and then learn how it works if you have time or care about it enough. Atleast for me. I bought a stainless steel Smoktech Mini RDA from RTDvapor & replacement coils from Madvapes until I was comfortable. Heck, I think what helped propel the z-atty-pro genesis style atty was inpart to a good instructional video plus being shipped fully assembled.

No sea creatures for me either, but everyone has their opinions. Ask 10 RBA users and you will probably get 10 different answers.
No recommendations here, but if you like to tinker and experiment, and RBA will give you more control than anything. Even without variable voltage.

IGO-W Rebuildable Atomizer
This is a great first time RBA. The reason i like it is because it gives you options. you can build 1 coil, you can build 2 coils, you can drill out the air hole. but my favorite part about the Igo w is that it has the holes drilled into the post so that you dont have to worry about trying to wrap coils around the post.. you simply take your positive and negative leads and feed them through the post and tighten them down.

Many people like the Bulldog (Phoenix clone) from OKCvapes as well for under $15 that includes wick and wire.

I got mine with the k100 from a contest. So I had no choice on what would be my first. And it made me want more of them

I dont think that you will have the best experience with that one. is that the only B&M near you? and is the the only rba that they have?
