Hi there

I am using 52mg unflavoured PG nicotine as a base

I want to make 24mg strength e liquid at a final mix of 70/30 PG/VG

I use e juice me up software when mixing liquids

Here is the result

7030.jpg

Questions

- Can you see where the software suggests I should use 0.83ml of Plain PG? How can that be when the PG I use is mixed in with nicotine already?

- So what do I do with that 0.83ml of Plain PG it is suggesting? Should I add that figure to the recommended Plain VG to use instead? if not then what do I do?

- Should I use a stronger nicotine base instead? so stronger then 52mg base? to obtain a final receipe of 70/30 PG/VG at 24mg strength?

Thanks for your help

Try bumping down the "Percentage PV" in the results section until it doesn't request any un-nick'd PG. I think in the long-term you'll want to get some PG without nicotine to be able to brew the way you want to. If you have any kind of farm/ ranch store close by they'll have it. Other place do too, like some WalMarts.

Here's your recipe in plain text:

52mg PG . . . 2.77mL . . . 46.17%
PG . . . . . . . 0.83mL . . . 13.83%
VG . . . . . . . 1.8mL . . . 30%
flavoring . . . . 0.6mL . . . 10%

If you add up everything except the VG, you'll find that it totals 4.2mL, which is 70% of 6mL (flavoring is counted as PG).

Edit: SuziesMom is correct. Add the 0.83mL plain PG (or substitute VG) to get the proper nic strength.

You should be able to obtain Propylene Glycol at a chemist shop.

You have to mix plain PG to bring your nic strength down to 24mg per ml. You can add the extra VG but then you won't be 70/30PG/VG, it would be 56.2/43.8 PG/VG... Your flavoring is PG based, so your figures show 46.17% nic + 13.83% PG = 60% PG, then add the 10% flavoring to make it 70% PG and the remaning VG 30% to give you total volume.

If you plan on doing alot of diy, you can order USP grade PG on amazon or ebay. It costs about 25 shipped a gallon. If you have a large farm supply store nearby they sell it too. Its used to treat ketosis in cattle, and will be near the medications for animals. It sounds like alot to buy at once, but its worth it and it will last you a good while.
