You're doing fine. The fact that it bothers you is a great step. Analogs are hard to get off of, and it can take multiple tries to really quit. The vaping helps a lot, since it offers much of the sensation, mechanics, comfort and habitual tendencies of smoking...
I was a smoker for 30 years. In that time I quit cold turkey, quit due to illness, used gum and used patches. Each time, I picked it up again.. one time, when I had a really bad cold, I realized I hadn't smoked in a week, so I decided to not pick it up again; that lasted 5 years! However, after 5 years, the calling came back, and I picked it back up.
I have been vaping for a couple of months now, and since it satisfies more than just the nicotine, I think this is my favorite transition of all....
I mention all of this because I think you, and most of us who have made the transition, will find that even with a slip up, the reaction will be like yours: that analogs are GROSS! And now that you have a way to satisfy urges beyond just that of the nicotine, you will find that you will stick with the vaping... and not worry about having an analog here and there. It's not the end of the world, and it serves as a reminder of the difference between vaping and smoking.
