Just be sure your tissue is not scented, or coated with aloe, could off flavor your juice. Cig Paper is excellent, if using the trick, as it is carries no extras in it. When I use to do this trick, I found some rolling papers from my wilder days ;), and it did help me with shorts. Now, I have several seasoned wicks which I re-use and have improved my oxidation methods, and find the cig paper trick unnecessary.

Hoping for updates.

How about a few more variables like amount of mesh and the double wick?

Sigh, about to purchase my first Genesis style and really freaking out over the wick.

So far thinking I'm going to try the super fat wick. Seems the easiest and than try adding a 2nd wick.

First of all don't over think the thing. It really is not complicated. Size of wick will depend on the size of your wick hole, Gage of your kanthal, and the ohm level you wish to achieve. Double wicking and such will come as you vape on your device. Some people like to heavily chain vape, and require a very aggressive wicking, while others take a puff now and again and a standard single wick suffices nicely. You can probably see what I am getting at, a lot of your decisions will be subjective and based on what YOU require. This is actually the beauty of the Genesis device, it lets you decide what you want. Don't worry, maybe at this point you are not even sure what you want, it will come to you with trial, use and error.

I have a question for you guys! I dont have any lead free solder so i have been struggling to find a way to hook up my NR wire to my nichrome. Twisting it is tearing up my fingers and always causing shorts on the side walls of my vivi nova head.

I don't think it'll make much difference whether you have lead free solder or not. As I understand it, it takes special equipment to solder to the resistance wire.

I tryed something new with my zen mini today I thought I would share. I tend to heavily chain vape from time to time and found the wicks in my mini having a hard time keeping up. So today I pulled out the insulator from the wicking hole, witch left me with a huge hole. I cut a big bit of 400 mesh 100m*25m. I then cut it into 3 sections. I rolled the first unoxodised quite tight. I oxodised the second before rolling it, then rolled it onto of the 1st. I repeated this process again for the 3rd bit. I was let with a great big fat wick. Just for good measure I hit the whole wick with the blow torch a few times. Letting it air cool as I did with the previous layers. I then twisted up a coil with 32awg kanthan hit it with the lighter a few times to settel it out. Then I wrapped a 3/4 turn coil, driped some juice fired it up. It tool a fee adjustments to get an even glow but got it working. Continued to dry burn then drench with juice to help break in the wick. Filled tank popped in a fresh battery and started to vape. For a while the flavor and vaper were not great but over the corse of the 1st tank they greatly proved. On on a new battery now and fresh tank and wow it's kicking .... Great flavor, tons of vaper and best of all not 1 single dry hit. With this setup breaking in period is a little frustrating but stick with it and u will have a setup that can take some heavy vaping. Give it a try

That's what I do (single fat wick though) and it can keep up with me, regardless of vaping angle. Which is amazing. I can get dry hits out of most anything.

In fact my new 'test' for all my set ups is to fire the atty for 15 second bursts on the Provari holding it vertical. Anything turns red, I adjust. Everything stays wet, I put the cap on and vape.

Recently I've been using a pin hole, lets say the size of a safety pin

Also experimented with an open, large hole (e.g. 2-2.5 mm)

Which one has worked better for you? So far, I've had the best luck with a skinny wick inside a fat wick, through which I can see no daylight (with the filling screw removed on a DID). Bear in mind, I've only been doing this for a week, so tomorrow my story may be different.

It is my experience that the fatter the wick, the better it keeps up with chain vaping. Stands to reason since the larger wick holds more juice.
Has anybody else noticed a significant difference? It seems to me a little extra girth goes an awfully long way.

That is exactly my experience, too. And yes, I'm a chain vaper. :)
