I just noticed recently with my CE2 that if both ends of the wick are in the juice - wicking is great; if only one end is in the juice - wicking not so great.

yup same here same applies to those CE4 stardust thingies if one side is dry an other is wet it taste like poooo so yea seems both sides need to be wet.. sounds kinda sexual but owe well lol

I'm thinking maybe the gauze has more total surface area?

if I do this again I'd like quigs to school on me on the best way to roll up this batton so it looks like a wick and not a narrow caliber stool LOL

Here's how I've been building the Line...as far as it looking like a narrow calibre poop...you be the judge:D

Nice video Quig's. It should really help the other line modders out.;)

PS: I didn't hear any eh's/ay/aye. Is that just east coast talk?:)

Ya, that would pretty much just be the east coasters...only they talk like that:laugh:...(cough, roobs, cough)

This should pretty much work for any vert. wick genny so any of you guys out there that have Orions, Zens or Katanas...or if you're poor like me, a couple Mini Scubas coming...and I saw a guy over on another thread put cotton in a GTUS (ga! what was his name, I want to give him props...)

Noooo!, not the gratuitous "this is how it vapes" vid...I'll leave that up to Smoke Ring Scott, he's got the perfect backlit scene for that

My new DIY juice drip tester. It's a rebuilt phoenix with gauze threads. I put slots up the bottom of the tube to slide over the wicks then twist to pinch the wick to hopefully keep the test liquid from wicking out of the tube. The phoenix silicon top seal is like a funnel feeding the juice down to the wick. After testing a liquid, twist the tube, pull some new wick into place, cut off the used portion and it's ready for the next test. :vapor:

Ok! Bought the rolled cotton. Do I boil or use right out of box? Hard to gage how much I should use. What length do you think?

Thanks!

Now comes the trial-N-error part :D. I'd go with a bit longer than you think you'll need for the length (can cut off excess).

The one I've been using was sold as 'Sterile' and 'USP' so I didn't boil; I don't think Quigs boils his either.

Gotcha.

Thanks,

Chris
