wicking issue? or something else?

hi i have a derringer rda with a dual 24g at 3mm and .27 ohms. when gaping at 20-50 watts it is great. My issue is when i decide i want to blow some serious clouds on my ipv3 and bump it up to 100 or better i get insta dry hits and wanted to know if it was my wicking or just my wattage to high for the cotton to keep up? any thoughts would be appreciated

watts are too hi for the amount of wick, the hi watts blow out all the juice in that section of the wick and as the wick tries to refill, the heat keeps it from doing so, its called vapor barrier... ever wonder why a drop of water bounces around on the bottom of a hot pan?
