Wicking issues on ech mod

I finally got a mech-mod. To start out with I decided to test out the tobh clone by tobeco and the pegasus clone by vapetech. So far I have no complaints with the hardware I received. Currently I'm running a single coil parallel with 28g Kanthal and my mvp read it at.5 ohms. I have sony vtc5s so no worries with amp draw. Anyway I'm using organic cotton balls for the wick but I'm only able to get 3-5 hits before it tastes a little burnt. I was hoping you all could give me tips with how to wick the coil or point me in some direction that explains how to wick for best results.

uh...that is going to be the best results with a 0.5 parallel build using cotton - 4 to 5 hits, re-drip.

A 0.5 ohm build is going to be a juice hog. You are going to have to drip alot and often.

Okay thanks, well is there anyway to be in the .5-.7 ohm resistance and be able to get more hits?

Yup. If you use ekowool or a 2-4 wrap silica build. Those wicking system actually holds more juice so you can take more hits in between re-dripping.

Rayon or Tencel Fiber will give you more pulls between drips also.
