So I recently just made new coils switching from .33 ohm dual coils to .26 ohm dual coils, and I made my wicks exactly the same. I just pull it through, fluff it up a little, trim the ends, and tuck them under so the ends touch under the coil with a little hole in the middle. Before it tasted fine and I could take fat rips with no problem and would only have to re-drip after 15-20 rips. But now I have to re drip after like 10 small puffs before it starts tasting dry, even though it still looks decently wet. And if I try to take a large rip even when it's freshly juiced, it'll taste kinda burnt. I'm wondering if there's a better way to wick cotton for lower ohm setups, or what else the problem could be. Also it could be the juice since I also changed the flavor I'm using and this one is 100% vg and that may or may not affect how well the wick feeds and how quickly it burns.

16/.33= 48 watts
16/.26= 61 watts

You're vaporising liquid about 20% faster

I had this happen to me before when my shiseido was slightly larger than normal. I cut a strip a little bit bigger and because it was tighter inside the coil it didn't draw enough juice to keep up with a large pulls. If you're a seasoned pro at building I highly doubt this is the issue but as a semi new comer myself I have done this before.

I had this same problem using 22 guage kanthal on my dark horse, freshly juiced, 2 pulls later tasted dry as a bone, yet the cotton was obviously still wet. I rebuilt my coils and replaced the cotton and haven't had the problem since.

I had that same problem no matter what build I had... then I stopped using cotton. No more problems... :D
