disagree 100% a tiny 18350 tube is my pod replacement

just this morning i have been looking for a tiny dual 18350 stabwood box

batteries are up to around 1200mah and 10-11A
It all really depends on the application. I love the look of the Bantam Box and Fifty/50 but I just know I'd be hard pressed finding a build that would suffice in the Fifty/50. The Bantam box would be easy to toss a 20W build in, but I have a Billet Box that goes for two days between charges and it's small enough.

A dual 18350 stabwood would be sweet, but pockets and nice things don't mix. ;)

thanks for the advice.
i use a few rdta + mod depends on my mood and where i go.

yes splitting ;p. the wicks snap into 2 usually in the middle and i tend to replace it almost daily.

the setup i use daily.

mod 1.
aegis legend with limitless rdta. either dual coil clapton or dual coil twisted kanthal. usually 6-8 wraps. 3.0mm ID. depends on juice i vape between 40-60w

mod 2
aegis mini with ud goblin mini. single coil, 6 wraps 26awg. 2.0mm id.i go low with 10-15w.
Your wicks are stranded long ways, right? I know that seems silly, but I have heard it before. There have been people that cut in the wrong direction if using cotton pads...if that is not you, then you can be getting hot spots in the coil, causing the cotton to burn.....if you know for sure there are no hot spots then it's a wicking issue for sure. It's kind of hard installing to much cotton in a coil because it usually deforms, so most probably under wick more then over wick...do you roll your wicks tight first, then thread thru? If so, you can be over stuffing, but if your simply threading thru without the coil moving, you might not be putting enough ......it also can be the tails. You may not be placing correctly and perhaps not getting enough juice to them. Your tails might be to short or to long, both can starve the coil creating to much heat....

the tails are fine i think, cos everytime it have a burn taste and when the vape production dips drastically. i remove it and remove the wick and they are wet and moist ;p.

so either it could be too little wick?

Either not enough or too much cotton can do this, personally I found I get more dry hits when I dont have enough thru coil, so leaning towards that. Your old burnt wicks should have some resistance to them when removing them, they shouldn't just slide right out. Do you use ... cotton? If so what size piece do you cut for your 3mm coil? There is another sign when using too little, it's a certain sizzle sound . After you release the fire button there's always a sizzle sound, but when you dont have enough, this sound is a bit louder and continues for a bit longer. After you take a vape, do you hear this?

there no resistance cos its already split? it falls right out., use ... organic unbleach cotton, not sure abt the size its from a pad and i measure it so it fits somewhat, cut it, roll it and slide in thri, prime it and smoke it. its great for the 1 tank, after than it just will split, burn hits and drop in vapour production.

Koh Gen Do is another good option.

I've found out that about a 9mm + strip of Muji peeled does reasonably well with a 3mm ID coil.

Just roll an end and thread through the coil and kind of floss the coil with the wick by pulling the wick backwards and forwards through the coil a few times to bed it in a little, then thin, cut and prime.

But definitely check the way your cutting the pad, and cut along the grain or weave.

That makes sense that they would just slip right out because they are split.....have you tried messing with cotton amounts since I last posted, like trying more in coil?
