I had some Smoketech 3.2Ω cartos I had bought to tied me over while I waited on Ikenvapes to be available. I mostly use carto tanks, and have for awhile.
Earlier this week, one evening I had changed a carto and refilled the tank. All was well until the next morning when I got a split second of burnt taste followed by an E1 error on my ProVari (short). I was on my way to work at the time, so it got set aside for a new tank.
The 2nd tank had a day or so of use, and then started tasting a bit off. I checked the ohms, and that 3.2Ω carto was now reading 4.0. So, I swapped that one out, too. In my experience, this brand carto goes up about .2Ω when it needs to be changed. But this was a big jump.
Anyone else experience this, or have any insight to why it occurred? It's not my juice or ProVari, as I have used both for quite awhile with no issues. And my voltage was not set too high for the ohms of the carto. This is my usual setup. Never had an issue like this before.
I should also mention that these were prepuched cartos. I do not punch my own. And they were neither flooded or dry prior to my incidents.
