I am not overly bothered by this but I thought I might mention it and see if anyone else has this issue. I am using an 18490 AW IMR and everyday around 4 and again at 7 my Provari will think the battery is running low by giving me the blinking button. All I do it take the battery out and put it back in and all is good again. Anyone else have this going on?

Never had this happen, although I know some batteries can regain some voltage when drained and not used for a bit of time- starting cars in winter. It might be a slight issue with the electronics, the electric forklifts at work do the same thing- you can drain the batt until it won't lift/unplug and plug the same battery in and it will show a full/near full charge and everything works but the battery level does drop rapidly and it will damage the battery and some contacts on the forklift. By doing this without checking the battery voltage, you may risk damaging the batts and the circuitry in the provari

I am using the spring that came with it. I ordered it in September.
Jeremy, the voltage in the battery is fine. Its like the Provari thinks the voltage is going down when it isn't.
I will try using my 2500's and see if the same thing arises. I just don't really use them much since I like the length without the extender.

If you're trying to pull more voltage out of the battery than it can provide, you'll get a voltage drop and that will make the ProVari circuitry think the battery is going dead. Does this happen after you get a good, long drag in? The recommended batteries can keep up with the higher output, many other batteries can't.

Well, as I stated earlier, I am using an AW IMR. It is the batteries that are designed for the Provari. I don't see how I could be pulling more voltage out of the battery than what the Provari will allow. It is a 2.5ohm dialed into 5 volts. It does not happen while I am taking a drag or anything. Just some time throughout the day it will start blinking. If I pull the battery out then put it back in and read the voltage it is still within reason, most of the time right around 3.7 volts. One time I checked it and it read 3.3v, I took it out, put it back in and it was reading 3.6v. I going to assume it is the battery. I have been using it non stop since I got the Provari and I do not really use any other one except on weekends where I vape longer.

Greetings,
I am having this to happen also and do the same as you. I usually just switch batteries. I actually thought that the blinking was from holding the button beyond 16 seconds.

Mine just started doing the same. It has something to do with the spring or cap connection. When it does this I can put it in the cb function and slightly loosen and re tigten cap and watch the voltage go from 3.3 to 3.5 and I get at least another 1 or 2 hours of vaping time before it is actually time to change batteries. I just got mine last month so I would think I have the newest spring but I could be wrong. By the way I keep the threads clean so that isn't a problem with mine.

It's pretty much always been like that to my knowledge. This is in fact the basis behind one users idea of the "love tap". That is, a questionable action of smacking the bottom when it starts blinking. The smack causes the battery to force down, losing connection with the positive, and then springing back up. This is of course questionable because you don't really want the battery to hit the positive connection with that kind of sudden force.

Id clean the cap and then nolox the threads of the cap. Helped with all three of mine. Well two,the third one had that done before I put a carto on so I don't know if it had the low battery bug if you want to call it that. They flash at 3.4-3.3 and shut off at 3.1-3.0
