Available woods are Bocote, Bloodwood, Purpleheart, Lacewood, Birdseye Maple, Claro Walnut, Walnut

That Claro Walnut is gorgeous in person, very beautiful wood and it's so buttery smooth too. And the Lacewood, it looks like a gorgeous quilted piece of wood. The Bocote is awesome, I love the wild graining in mine! I have the Bloodwood, purpleheart, and Birdseye maple in other mods, and I love those woods too!

All of those are my favorites, (can ya tell) and Alek's mods are awesome, I LOVE the shapes of them, they fit your hand like a glove and are so cool to look at! Wildman's mods are amazing!! :)

I searched the thread for pics of the purpleheart, but they have been removed. Does anyone have a pic of their purpleheart mod?

I already have a bocote and lacewood being done in VV by another modder. Hubby and I just scored a Kick from the SuperT yesterday, so I need to pick 2 more wood choices for mods. I def want bloodwood. I'm trying to decide between the claro walnut and purpleheart for the other one.

Thanks, Iowa Gal. Now I have to decide between purpleheart and claro walnut. I don't know what to do. Help!

Like Iowa said, you really can't go wrong with either of 'em but if you're looking for different, I believe the Claro Walnut is old reclaimed wood and when it's gone, it's gone.

I have the Claro and it's beautiful!

No, channels for resessing the wiring. 2 stage hole for tank
that meets with 2 stage hole for switch.
I will have to use a shape similar to bottom feeder to make this work for more than prototype.
The bottom feeder style has a large chamber for easier access.
I used a piece of Bocote, (myrtle is too hard to get to waste on my mistakes).
And what I did with door is going to be a pain to shape.

Don't hurt the Myrtle! It's one of the most beautiful woods I've ever seen! :) Here's my Myrtle Wildman, can't figure out how to rotate the picture, but even sideways, it's awesome!!!

Here ya go AndyMan the DOA
Bocote 5/8th opening recessed for a tank
18500 and a Kick
Beautiful, (Non-repairable as all wiring is inaccessable, and switch has to be epoxied in)
Some of my best work ever...one little tiny problem.
It doesn't work...at all...not even a little bit.
And the best part...it's not repairable....it is pretty though
Back to the drawing board.
