Hi All,

I ordered kayfun 3.1 clone and chi you clone from fasttech. After a wait for a month I have just received the kayfun 3.1 and still waiting for my chi you clone.

I already have a ego ce4 650mah on BCC VapeOnly tank. I wanted to know that if I use a wick with 1.8ohm on the kayfun. Is it safe to use this ce4 with kayfun in this configuration. Well I can wait if I have to but desperate to try the Kayfun clone :). Also, will it in anyway, affect the performance or the hardware itself of the Kayfun which I got.

Thank you for reading the thread and answering.

I use a russian 91%. But it's similar to a KF. Using a 1.8 ohm coil is perfectly fine on a ce4. It'll diminish the performance of the KF, but it'll provide vapor until the chi you comes in. Enjoy.

Thank you for your reply. Can you please, elaborate on what do you mean diminish the performance of the KF. Also, Will it affect the hardware in anyway, that will degrade KF or have a permanent affect on it. I am more into the TH than vapor :)

If the coil fires on that battery it should fire in the kayfun also. I'm not familiar with the vapeonly coils but if the legs are long enough without unwrapping the coil at all it should at least be close in resistance. I know I once pulled and evod coil out and put it in a dripper.

Thank you...I will test tomorrow and check how it works.

Yes, you can use a 1.8 ohm coil in the Kayfun, and yes, it will work with your ego battery (it'll look like a lollipop, tho).

I regularly use KF's with 1.4-ish ohm microcoils and the vape is tremendous.

Thank you for the reply. I see all you guys talking about the vape but i am more into TH. I am guessing the word used is vape and it includes both.

First off - Thank your supplier for just confusing things.
EGO is a descriptor for EGO Batteries
CE4 is actually a type of Top coil disposable Clearomizer.

You have to build your coil for the Kayfun.
<Yes it will work> is an answer without explanation or support.

You may be able to build a stable Coil that will mildly produce on an Ego Battery. Likely you will not be happy with the end results.
Anything thicker than 32 gauge wire in going to tax the battery heavily attempting to heat up the wire.
Anything lower than 1.8ohms is going to tax the battery and may shorten life. Even at 1.8 ohms average battery usage is going to be shortened due to extended heat time needed per draw.

I would personally use this time to practice coil building, run a few test for function and wicking issues, etc. then put it away until the Mod arrives.

It's not a matter of degrading the KF. It's not going to be affected my anything other than a lightning strike. A fully charged 650mah is going to provide a good vape for about an hour. After that the voltage of the battery is too low to provide a heavenly vape. A chi you with a 18490 is going to provide a much longer timeframe of great vales. The KF is completely reliant on the power that's provided to it. A ce4 just won't be able to provide it for any length of time.

Thank you that is a very good description. I do apologize for the confusion. I still tend to forget the differences. :) This is very useful information and I think I will stick with it. If i have waited to a month waiting for few more days is not a big deal.

Thank you for the information. Yes, I am getting 18560 batteries for my chi you so going to get good time out of them :)

Just be safe with your coils. Make sure you check the ohms of your coil with a DMM or a box ohm checker. Don't rely on what setup you took that coil out of. Things change when you put it into a RBA. Building your own coils is only safe when your checking the ohms if the build. Putting it on a unregulated device is tickling the dragon's tail

Yes, I heard lots of incidents and thats why wanted to make sure I am safe. Thank you for your concern. I will be making sure that I check the ohm on each and every instance :)
