Will move out of the country - what do I need?

I have only been vaping for a couple of weeks, so I still don't know many tricks of the trade.

The natural thing to do would be just to relax and keep trying different stuff, taking advantage of the most experienced people on the forums.

However, I have a dilemma: I am going to move overseas in three weeks! I am going to an arab country, which should not have restrictions on e-cigs entering through customs. However, that region is so smoke-friendly that nobody is trying to quit, so I doubt they will be sold there. I think I will be able to buy supplies through international shipping, but those take several weeks to arrive.

So I basically need a 1-year supply (or more) of paraphernalia without being able to experiment much. I am using the Joye 510 and really don't have the time to try a different system.

Some important info on what I am doing:

- I am bad at upkeeping, and tend to lose things.
- I am a heavy vaper, as I was a heavy smoker;
- Doesn't matter the size or looks
- A case would be nice, maybe one with a charger and one without them
- The 18 mg dose seems to be right for me, but I haven't have the chance to try other doses;
- I have 2 batteries that came with the starter kit and don't last long. Hate to run out of power. Would love to have some that last longer and, if possible, some that I can leave on the charger without having to worry about overcharging (I heard that there are some batteries or chargers that turn off automatically);
- I only have the 3 piece setup so far. Some cartomizers are on the way, but I don't know if I am going to prefer them. It is better to have stuff for both the 2-piece and the 3-piece setups.
- I have bought some juice, and I don't know what the VG-PG combination is, and I don't know which one is best for me. I know that what I have is not purely some or the other. I did well with the blus (which I understand are 100% VG).
- If I buy large quantities of juice, I have to make sure they travel ok. What is the best protection in a suitcase?
- As long as I don't have to try different systems, I can afford the investment.

So I ask what should I buy in what amount taking into consideration that I won't be able to buy any more for possibly a year? Also, some information on the best places to ship overseas would be nice.

Lots of questions, your pretty vague on what your using for batteries though. If where your going isn't going to give you a hard time with your supplies, I'd suggest one of the bigger mods, and batteries. Say a Chuck or Silver Bullet somethign along those lines. Re-chargable batteries are available in ANY country, and if something happens to any of your batteries from here, should be able to buy more without much of a fuss.

Far as juice goes, well, what kind do you LIKE? That's the key. I'm ASSUMING (see Military comment one paragraph down)there will be a freezer where your going. Get the ones (I would suggest the top 3-5) that you like, and buy 60 or more mL's of each. Toss the ones your not using into the freezer. Your tastes are going to change as your sense of taste comes back so....that's a tougher one than you might be thinking!

Now, Arlington, Virginia, Military I'm guessing /grin. You will probably be able to get online to the ECF here. If you have any REAL problems get into contract with us!!! You wouldn't be the first Military person to do it and folks around here will help out if we can.

Yep I also agree with a PV with batts that can be bought anywhere. The Silver Bullet is very well known for being a solid PV without problems/ issues. As for ECF listed vendors there's Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail located in China. Quality inexpensive hardware BUT mixed reviews on their juice. Lottsa great quality vendors located in the UK. Checkout the ECF UK Forum.
Good Luck and have a safe trip.

although I've been vaping a year and a half, I still use the slim joye 510's. and egos..

the ego (and the clone, riva 510) will fit most of your joye 510 stuff (I am assuming you are using the slim joye 510). the charger is different, but if you buy a kit you will get the correct charger. the ego/riva are bigger (like cigar size) and the battery lasts longer. I also think they make a pcc for it ... even though you are not really military, maybe you could find some additional help in this forum: Armed Services Forum

What Arab country? Bahrain would probably have some stuff so wouldn't DUBAI. Possiably Dahran in Saudi. I doubt Lahar but possibly. Ive worked in all of those places and you'd be surprised at what they have.

Doha, Qatar. Close to Dubai and Bahrain. But I found no information of the e-cigs being in Doha. On the contrary, I found people asking where to find them, with no answer.

Dont buy a years supply, that would be a huge mistake, there is better and better goods coming out of China weekly and bi-weekly these days there moving so fast it's crazy to buy in bulk, take enough to cover yourself for say 2 months and you can get whatever you want shipped to yourself no problem.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, it would be better to wait and see what new stuff is there - specially since I don't know yet which flavors I like, or even which system. However, I have just been reading on the Internet about the Persian Gulf. It seems like the e-cigs are being seized at customs in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) because of a decision of Ministers of Health of the Persian Gulf. That means their sales MUST be forbidden in Qatar also. The odds are I won't be able to order them (I mean, I can order, but they won't get to me).

So again I am stuck with getting a long time supply.

When I started this thread I had been using only the atomizer-cart setup. I got cartomizers in the mail yesterday, and it seems clear they are easier to use for me, since I will do most of the vaping at work, and I obviously don't want to be dripping all the time. In theory, I would use the atomizers at home, but I am probably too lazy to do that. Maybe something bulkier for home, like a tank cartomizer? I have not tried those yet.

So I ask some suggestions about how much stuff I will need, in terms of:

- Cartomizers. I don't mind buying 50 of them if they only last a week. I maybe want to have different kinds, but plenty of each. Of course it will be better to get something that lasts long (in terms of atomizer life and ability to be refilled). So far I only know the genuine Joye, which is not good for the condom refill. Are there others that are easier to refill?
- Batteries. Preferably some that last longer between charges. I can try different powers, but it is better not to be playing around with different voltages.
- Chargers. Maybe lots of USB chargers, since I don't know if I will have a voltage difference? Or are they all good for 110 and 220??
- I know that flavors are very subjective, but I ask which ones are the most popular. I have noticed that I probably don't want thicker liquids. One of the liquids I bought from cignot ( Joye Cinnamon liquid 20ml, 18mg Nicotine VG) tasted terrible, and it is obviously the thickest I have. So far I have preferred sweeter, fruity juices, to tobacco flavors. Cherry and menthol seem work for me. I even liked the watermelon from aquavapor, which is as sweet as it gets. The one I liked the most was the d-mint from aquavapor, but bear in mind I only have tried some 8 flavors so far.

Please understand I am kind of desperate. Dubious advice is better than no advice. If you have suggestions but is not very sure, go ahead and give them. Maybe someone else will have a different idea.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR HELPING

If funds are not too much of an issue, I would recommend a tube mod that uses rechargeable batteries, Provari is one of the best. Get a bunch of batteries and 2 chargers, ProVape E-Cigarettes: Buy Electronic Cigarettes & Smokeless Cigs. 1 year warranty.

Reos mod-bottom fed, very durable, uses cartomizers and atomizers.

Best clearomizer IMO, CE3, 1.6ml capacity, syringe fill, 5 pack
Tanks most recommended are Phiniac

You also have the possibility to get some of the rebuildable tanks, Odysseus, Penelope, Bulli...

Juice vendors to look at: Nitelitevapor, Highbrow Vapor, Mrs.T's

You could also make your own eliquid, which consists of nicotine solution, pg/vg and flavorings. I recommend wizard Labs.

Just type most of these words in the forum search box, and hopefully you can get other opinions and recommendations

Good luck!

In a diplomatic status, you should recieve diplomatic immunity if you are working at or with the US Embasy. The US Embasy is considered US soil, and therefor not subject to host country laws. This includes mail service. But of course, being diplomatic means being courteous of the host country laws, and what you do with your eCig and when you use it are a judgement call based on your interaction with the local populous and thier beliefs on the subject.

I have a friend on Marine Security Guard at an Embasy in an Arab country, and he's having no problems with vaping supplies.

I sent a message alerting someone who should know what's going on in Qatar to this tread.

If they're stopping shipments I would expect them to stop a passenger carrying 1500ml, 50 cartos, 8 batteries and 4 chargers.

If they are banned if I were you I'd get a completely rebuildable tank system. They shouldn't block the wire and wick from being shipped in and it may even be available there.
Regular lithium batteries and chargers shouldn't be stopped. You could get a battery mod. Perhaps a box mod since that wouldn't look too strange on a scanner.
Break it all down and have it spread out in your stuff and mixed in with other things to make the parts blend in.

That leaves you with trying to figure out how to get 1500ml of liquid in.

If it was me (and it is banned) I would give in and simply smoke a pipe. The thought of law breaking in a foreign country would be too much for me to deal with. Pipes are not inhaled, you get the nicotine by it soaking into your mouth. There are plenty of heavy duty pipe tobaccos that can turn even the most dedicated cigarette smoker green.
And I would use Swedish Snus.

I didn't consider diplomatic status. Good point Rader2146.

Just myself, I'd get some of the twist batteries, and a lot of cartomizers. If you want to vary voltage on the twist, you can and they aren't much bigger than the old eGo batteries. The 1000 mah batts should last all day, but you'll want two, one to charge and one to use.
As far as liquids go,get what you know you'll like. You can always go experiment-crazy when you get back.
I really do hope that you'll be able to get things shipped to you. For one year, even at 3ml/day, you'll have to take over 1000 ml with you, for one year. That's like two large shampoo bottles of e-liquid!
I do hope this all works out for you!

Good Luck!

Doha. Went to the MotoGP race out there one year. Anyway, worst case, you can't get stuff sent to you. If you have a significant other or family member back in the states have everything sent there. They can repackage it and spread things out so it doesn't look like whatever it is these people are trying to seize. Just don't claim it as e-cig supplies on the customs form. A bottle of juice say multiple 10 mil or 30 mil could be marked as scented body oil or something. Just an idea for a worst possible case scenario.

The fact that the sales are forbidden there means that shipments will be stopped, but not the supply I carry for my personal use, even if it is large. I am not American, I am Brazilian, currently stationed in Washington DC. Whatever I order for me will not be treated as diplomatic mail, and having someone send me stuff using the diplomatic pouch would probably not work.

Your suggestions are really helping me make a plan.

Right now I am inclined to do something like Saphirsis proposed. I read good things about those 1000 mah batteries. Do they use the same cartomizers?

I have no way to measure, but since I am a heavy vaper let's assume I vape 5 ml a day. That's actually 1.5+ liters for a year. I really do NOT want to try and mix my own stuff. So I guess a whole bunch of 100 ml bottles would make sense? Maybe one 500ml bottle? Are they even sold? Should I get 100 cartomizers? What suppliers give the most discounts for large purchases?

A re-Buildable Atty like the Fatty V2 or a Bulli Smoker, Penelope, Odysseus, something of this nature would be a safe play for sure. same with sending bottles of Liquid marked perfume or in perfume like looking bottles. I really dont think your going to have an issue though. There are people over there that vape, maybe you could try contacting them, or even better sending them or someone a bottle of eliquid over there and seeing if it gets through NOW to test this out.
