I do not have an Echo. I can get 4-7 days out of each cartomizer on my 510's and Riva 510 by using thin clear juices, 20% or less VG and light clear juices that leave little or no flavoring sediment to clog the stuffing. You have to fill them fully with suitable juice, let them settle so every bit of stuffing is wet, and add juice to keep them damp so they don't singe. It is easier to learn on standard resistance cartos which don't singe as easily.

You need to know what the threading of your Echo is. There are 3 different Echos. Echo-E 510 compatible and would use a 510 atomizer, maybe Ego atomizer, Echo 901 is 901 compatible and would use DSE901 atomizer, and Echo-V Vgo compatible (and I don't know what threading Vgo is)

Here is the Echo thread. You cannot post there yet but you can read it.

    in a cave, eh?
Dumb question: Are you just vaping a lot? Or are you starting to get a burnt taste real quick?

If you're getting a burnt taste, make sure you're putting enough drops into your Echo cartomizer. They should be able to accomodate 60 drops or so. Use the taryn spin or shake your cartomizer like a thermometer to push those drops to the bottom so you can put more drops in. Rather than vaping your cartomizers dry, you can periodically top them up with juice to keep them wet and keep them from burning.

If you're simply vaping a lot, you might just want to look at a bottom feeder system like the REO (reosmods.com).

I am getting a burnt taste after the first refill aka topping off. I have tried all those methods and can't figure out why I am having such problems with these echo cartomizers.i never had these kinds of problems with my 510 cartos. I'm keeping them wet. Out of the 7 echo carts I have 4 taste awful and I just bought some good juice that every one raves about from prime vaping. So I know don't know what the problem is or if I just got a bad batch of carto's

You can get an adapter if you know what your current threading is.

If you have male threaded cartomizers and female battery, then you should already have 510 threading

If you have female threaded cartos and male batteries, then try a 901 to 510 adapter or 808 to 510 adapter - Goodprophets, Altsmoke, Madvapes all carry adapters

Maybe your juice is causing your problem? How thick is your juice? What PG/VG?

You should post in the Ego subforum. Your supposed to get over 100 refills on the echo cartomizers with cleaning. There's a big thread there and it gives step by step instruction on how to clean them.

I've been using the same echo-e cartomizer for three weeks and it's still going strong. My Mom just had one that the flavor dropped of so I'm going to clean that one and see what happens.

Are you sure your filling them completely? Are you using thick juice? Mine are a little hard to vape when I first start using it. Within 1/2 an hour though they're great.

Yes getting about 100 drops into them. I have read the 120 some odd pages of the echo forum that's what made me go with the echo in the first place. My juice is 70pg 30 vg

That really stinks! I wish I knew how to help. I don't do anything special, just fill them up. They do cost a lot just to use once! OMG!! Maybe contact the supplier you got them from? Maybe there was a bad batch? Maybe PM Txtumbleweed or one of the other people in that thread that seem to know a lot about the echos.

I just started using echos myself, and I've had nothing but bad luck using it with anything but the echomizer. I just fill it until it leaks out the battery end, let it sit for a few minutes, wipe it down well before connecting it to the battery, and vape away. It's been the most hassle free device I've ever tried. Try using an 808 boge carto before messing around with adapters, they work ok too...

Well I just broke down and cleaned an echomizer and it wasn't to hard using the two straw method! so we will see how it turns out in about 30 minutes. Wish me luck

Somebody mention cleaning a horizontal carto using the two straw method????? :)

You have to make sure the filler is completely dry before you refill it. I also suggest that you tamp down the filler in some of those old cartos that are giving you the burnt taste. For some reason, the filler tends to shrink away from the bottom coil and not wick properly, hence the burnt taste. I use a McDonald's milkshake straw to gently push the filler down in the carto body prior to topping it off when It happens. The trick is to move the whole filler down to the coil with out compressing the filler. To give you an example, I've been using the same echo-e cartomizers on a KGO1100 for over three weeks. Twice in that period I got a slight burnt taste even though they were topped off previously. In fact it just happened about an hour ago. I tamped down the filler with the straw and it took about 15 drops of 80/20 before a drip came out the bottom. I let it sit for 10 minutes with a paper towel stuffed in the battery end and just started using it about 5 minutes before this post. Burnt tastes is gone, nothing but massive vapor and flavor. Keeping the filler located next to the bottom coil in horizontal cartos is probably the most overlooked fix for burnt taste of a reasonably full carto.
Good luck with your two straw rebuild.
