will we see more single RBA in the future?

What I know / read, single coil is more convenient for Temp Control, but I don't see lots of single rebuildable decks out there. At least I take a look at the deck before buying to see if there is a single coil option.

I guess there is more variety for RTAs, but I haven't seen lots of RDAs with a single coil possiblity + good airflow.

Is there a "trend" to go back to single coil - at least for TC - or will we stick to > dual coil?

The Freakshow Mini is actually amazing in single coil mode! With one airhole wide open, I get a similar draw to what my Magma has in Dual coil mode, but with the convenience of 1 coil and A LOT less leaking. Also, I'll add that the Petri rda's deck offers up some great real estate for large single coils. I've seen a build where the coil's inner diameter is perfectly lined up to each airflow hole, thus allowing air to pass straight from one end of the coil to the other. It was wicked much like a BVC coil.

Soooo, do some research! Lots of RDAs DO still have the single coil option.

No clue why people assume so. Maybe electronics experts vs. builders, who knows.

All I know is my very first build for my SX mini M is an Orchid Dual coil Ni200 locked at .0714
The vape has been excellent and I have been able to go through over 20 fills without the need to re-wick.

I believe Coil choice is just that and some simply feel more comfortable working with one coil.
With the step to Ti wire many of the hardships some experienced with Ni wire are gone.

I think it might have something to do with resistance as well. I just got my first roll of nickel wire, and I'm playing around with steam engine trying to figure out a good build. When I switch to dual coil, it says I need like 4,382 wraps or something ungodly like that to get it above .05 ohms. Lol! It's actually just 17 wraps, but with a spaced coil that's still nearly impossible to fit in any of my attys.

Best atty's out right now for TC

Velocity, it is a dual coil design, but airflow is very adjustable. The way it captures the legs beats any other atty out there, perfect for Ni.

Stumpy, I haven't used it but it is dual post, which is most important.

Hobo V3.1, another I have not used, but again, dual post so it should be good.

What these designers need to copy above all else is the way the Velocity captures the wires. It pins them between the post WALL and the screw, unlike nearly every other atty that drives the screw through the wire into the hollow section on the other side of the wire. Is it really that difficult to produce posts that are not hollow on the bottom? I realize this almost insures grub screws, but I prefer them over standard screw anyway.
