As a friend, as friends do, i suggested he cut down on his cholesterol, he took no notice.

Your information is just a bit outdated. (Trying not sound patronizing. ;))

Your Diet and Heart Disease: Rethinking Butter, Beef and Bacon – Health Essentials from Cleveland Clinic

According to the above-cited Scientific Report, “Available evidence shows no appreciable relationship between consumption of dietary cholesterol and serum (blood) cholesterol.”

Sugar is still bad. :D

Sheesh, woke up did the whole morning thing, the routine right? Jumped in the truck and the wife says "is your clock off?" ..........mmmm I dunno, check the cell phone, yup, and hour early. Had to verify all the house clocks before we believed it.

Sad, but funny!

I guess that's better than an hour late lol. Just go back inside vape and watch TV... perfect
Just figured out that we were not 'early' , we just got ready in one hour rather than taking two hours as usual. or something, at this point not sure if I'm awake or dreaming o_O

What a strange morning.

My Mountain
I eat meat everyday !.

I also exercise for 3 hours a day too !.

I used to cycle up to 6 hours a day, believe it or not !. From my home to brighton (roedean) along the A259 cycle paths and back again.

I'm 5'11. I weigh about 11 stone - 154 lb (By design)

Now, i simply cannot be bothered so i use a much lower gear, 3 hours, cycle locally and pedal twice as fast and only have to traval about 20 miles'ish at about 7 miles an hour, any more casual and i'd nod off. Still burn the calories, no effort at all !. Anyone could do the same thing using a Turbo Trainer, "sitting" in their living room watching tv. It's just a case of moving their legs, no real effort needed, none at all !.

I know this one guy, perfectly nice guy, works as a cladder. He drinks about 12 cans of fosters a day, eats fried food every morning and loads up on cholesterol every evening (he loves making gravy with juices from joints). He weighs about 19 stone. He smokes constantly, anything he can get his hands on, as well as anything else !. As a friend, as friends do, i suggested he cut down on his cholesterol, he took no notice. But now he can't say no one ever told him. I was just trying to be a friend !. He's 47.

Another friend of mine's dad had the same lifestyle, he was 72 when he died, not a bad innings considering, he died right in front of me in his kitchen.

It's difficult to bring subjects like this up without anyone taking exception assuming they are being patronized.

My previous post was about Jamie oliver and his fundamental contradiction. How he makes a big splash about sugar but not a single word about the things he regularly suggests people should eat. I suppose he's far too busy making himself look silly.

Since your a fitness junkie not many people will listen to you where concerns health. (I used to be one too so I do know)

For good health most people need an active lifestyle (versus sedentary) and two to three hours a week of exercise along with a balanced diet. Someone who gets that will be perfectly healthy.

As far as your friend, he may not be that over weight.. he could carry 200 depending on height, musculature and build and be fine. So, he is over weight but it may not be as bad as you think because of the lens you see through.

Certainly anytime someone starts developing a gut it's unhealthy, but if you want people to listen to you don't show people what you do, which is addiction level, but rather show and talk about what is reasonable good health.

We will all die, how each person lives needs to be on their own terms in the end. It's good also to respect that in others - and to be there for them in a positive way if and when they decide they want to live just a little healthier - which entails knowing what, exactly, healthy is.

Smoant squonker for the win! :)
