When I was a kid I scored high on an IQ test. Supposed to skip grades and all that stuff.

I learned very quickly there is a lot of value in acting dumb.

First, much lower expectations, thus less pressure.

Second, screw something up, you get a pass. "How did you break that? Are you stupid?"
"Yes I am" usually ended the conversation right there.

Chores. Heh, ex wife insisted I do dishes. Rinsed half off and put in dish drainer. She told me I didn't know what I was doing and took over. Never washed a dish again. May have lead to divorce, jury still out.

There is a lot of benefit in having everyone underestimate you.. plus, it's funny as all get out when soneone realizes for the first time exactly how much and for how long they have done so. The look on people's faces is absolutely priceless.. lol.

As for dishes - we know you all know how to do it... we just have come to the conclusion that your not wanting to far exceeds our desire to get you to, and thus we resign ourselves to our fate..

I hope that wasn't listed on the official paperwork of the divorce.... Certain things just can't be messed with, and chore/balance is one of them. (I'm kidding).

There was no way in hell I was skipping any grades either, they tried it several times. I was aware from a very young age that being an adult looked like a lot of hard work and I was in no rush.
