It is coming from China. I received a tracking number text today from DHL with Delivery expected Today.
I did email last week and received a response from Taylor. He said they'd try to ship "tonight." Hopefully it's on its way. I used this email address: sales4@smoant.com
Its short and stocky/hefty. the touch screen is super responsive. The face plates are HUGE fingerprint magnets but it is touch screen after all. Nice big responsive click fire button. Running a SS temp build right now that has not given me a dry hit yet. Have not tested the high wattage range of the device yet, will build something on an rda and give some of the 100-200 watts of power a test. While there are profiles of min norm max hard and vw curve, Using the stock profile even on Max still seems to have a delayed fire its not instant. Maybe with the curve this can be fixed havent played with the curve yet though. No delay in temp mode dependent on the wattage preheat that is set. Overall its a solid build quality no door rattle Great trim finish on mine which is the stainless steel. You could manage a 30mm atty on top although the 510 is 25mm. Nice you can lock the screen and lock the fire button. This one is a win!
First impressions?
Ok the battery door will move ever so slightly up and down or left and right if you push it hard enough. So while not really a rattle or noticeable while you are holding/vaping etc. the movement is there.
I also think that a 10 degree adjustment is kind of high id rather see it in 5 degree increments at max. what if i want to vape at 425 instead of 420 or 430.. You cant. This is probably fixable via a firmware upgrade. Or maybe with a software release like they did for the charon tc.
you want a quad battery device to vape at 12 watts! Keeps your recharging electricity costs to a minimum i bet.
Do you notice the battery door has a slight clicky movent from left to right?
I received a voicemail from DHL today that I have a package coming. It was shipped today from China and will be delivered tomorrow... I think I can safely assume it's the Charon
Did you guys have to be at home to sign for the package? DHL's message wasn't clear. I hope they will just leave the package on my front porch if I'm not at home.
