Windshield Residue?

Is the vapor leaving a bit of a residue on my windows in my car, or is it because I haven't cleaned them since I started vaping? (Oops, 4 months)

Or could it be a combination of both? The windshield definitely looked more blurry than it did a week before.

Well, I haven't noticed it in my car.

I get a residue with higher VG ratios. If I stick to 100% PG, I do not notice any residue.

I'm guessing a combination of both. Like you, I haven't actually washed the inside of my windshield for 6 months. Before that, it was close to two years (never smoked in my car). Now, four months after starting vaping, the window is pretty awful. I've seen some discussions around here that talk about VG being a known culprit and it seems, from my lengthy study, that PG (which is a majority of what I vape) also has an effect.

At least it's easier to clean up than cigsmoke residue.

Yep, same thing here using VG.

I've taken to cracking the window like I used to with analogs.

Probably a combo. Nothing like when I was smoking, though! Plus, it's sooo much easier to clean now.

Ditto... Haven't cleaned the inside of my windshield in months (maybe over a year). Got in the car after a cold night and couldn't see. A quick hit with Windex and good as new. If thats all the damage to my respiratory system (a little haze), then I am a happy camper.

Cracking the window may work wonders in Georgia, but here in Minnesota, it gets to be a bit harsh when it's -20F. My car has a pretty nice heater in it, but still...that cold breeze really ruins the warmth.

Plus side though, at least it doesn't get so cold that the trees explode. ^.^

I am still cracking the window - cannot break the habit and yes I have cracked the window in -20F weather with the heater going full blast. Habits are hard to break...

One of the many things I will not miss from my analog days... The most important one (which I will not miss) is going outside for a heater...in the winter...with snow up past my knees.

Had the issue, upped the PG for car vaping and problem solved. High PG juice is nice for the office too, less vapor, more flavor and TH. And lessens the chain vaping a bit for me.

I know many people think vaping leaves no residue. But, in fact, it does have an oily-type of residue that collects on car windows especially...as you've found out. Windex to the rescue there. At least it's not brown.

Yeppers, it was foggy and cooler than normal here in SD the past few days and yes I am now noticing the residue on the car window. I had my car detailed after I quit smoking cigarettes and if this is the worst I get from it ten so be it because my car smells worlds better now

Check it out around sunset, when you're driving west and the sun is glaring you right in the eyes. That's when it really shows up for me.... Can hardly see out the windshield.

Sometimes it's the windshield, sometimes it's a bug!

At least it ain't yellow and crispy, wipes off far easier! Imagine it's your lungs.

I've heard the same thing with others that use high VG juices too. Not sure why it does that though.
