I managed to finish it tonight though I do have some issues with the top lid since tried to use the L-type locking mechanism and it pops a bit when the battery is put in. I'm still gonna fix it eventually but I'm already starting my second steampunk mod and I've decided to convert my other copper mod which I find lacking in the aesthetic department. Here's my first steampunk mod I've completed. It's working great and I've used the same button design from the 18650 mod I posted some time ago. For now it's all shiny since I've polished it.

Lol, oh yeah it's morning I'm so low on energy right now and I need to relax so I'm reading some manga. I'm rather curious what kind of engraving it is you have in mind. I'm looking into acid etching techniques as a way to make designs on brass and copper since we have lots of types of acid here that love to eat metal. I usually post my works on forums but I do have a Devianart account which I rarely update an my account name there is gravewolf30.

That will age very nicely, your brother is quite lucky. I didn't notice the tubes on the back before, they look like a thumb placement director. :)

I'm actually a bit hesitant to give him this since he doesn't really smoke and would like to try vaping on 0mg juice, but he's old enough to know what he's getting into. The tubes actually feel good and gives a better grip on the mod.

Just some very intricate Victorian style stuff....I didn't really have anything specific in mind.

I like photobucket because you can post large pics that are easier to see details and etc. I have an app on my phone and PC that make uploading photos easy. Unless you become a supporting member you will run out of space rather quickly if you keep up this great work and sharing it with us. Its more of a luxury for those of us that want to drool :D

Do you mean I can only upload a limited number of pics? Dang that sounds troublesome, I think I'll need to think about photobucket account if that happens. I'll see what I can do about that engraving, I'm still not that good at that department.

Lol, I'm not confident but I've done some engravings on some jobs I did. I have one sample of an earring I made and the owner wanted it to look old. This is from my Deviantart account. I do remember that victorian style tend to look pretty leafy :p

Both the pic and your work look great....seems like Deviantart does photo sharing also so no need for another account.

Oh thank god I don't need another account. Those registration processes drive me mad! If I see another of those codes that you have to write to verify I'm not a bot I'll go bonkers!

@mre777
Thank you, I'm just lucky that I have a job that helps me out with my hobbies. It takes a lot of time and patience to learn metal crafting even with the right tools. I've been doing this for over 10 years and admit that I still have a lot to learn. As much as I wanna teach the techniques I'm finding it a bit hard since I prefer showing the methods instead of explaining and pictures are not enough to explain all the aspects of this type of crafting.

@asdaq
Lol, you and bapgood have thought of the same idea which makes me also want to consider making my own version of a gatling gun mod in the near future. I've also been thinking about using a dna20 or something else to make my own vv mod which I'm also curious in trying out since I've only been using mechanical mods.

poland, and the brassy lands of google
I have an idea for the barrels already worked out, and it would make an atty cover for an existing mod already. The proportions are backwards though for the mod as the gun has the large housing and smaller motor on the side. I would have the smaller housing and larger motor in diameters, plus the lengths are the same. To do it 'right' I would need the battery behind the atty and some wires to the switch and electronics. Also my version would have no grips or handles because I'm not 6" tall. :)

Grave wolf,

Someone with the talent you're showing and you worry about your engraving technique.....talented with metal, an eye for design and he's modest as well. If my wife were to hear about these qualities, she'd start setting you up with some of her family members!

Very nice work Gravewolf, something for some of us to aspire to.

I'd love to see that mod built. I think an 18350 or something thinner like a 14500 would be a good candidate for batteries on that mod. Lol I agree that there's no need for grips.....unless you make a full sized one :p

@big mac
Thank you sir, I honestly feel that I still have a lot of things to learn cause for me there's always space for improvements. One should always strive to be better at what they do. I like sharing my work with other people, I love seeing other peoples work and also learning from them. This place has been very friendly to me and I've been very happy meeting great people who share my passion cause I very rarely meet these types here at home.
