Thanks - that's the one I was thinking of.

Is there one that calculates wire cross sectional area from diameter?

The 0.17mm wire I bought has higher resistivity than expected, I have to twist 3 strands before winding, I need to work out the combined cross section and convert back to diameter for a single wire.

In the "material and profile" area, you can change "round" to "twisted", then select number of strands.

Would work if I had all the information.

There doesn't seem to be any direct path to total cross sectional area of multiple twisted strands.
