My little one wants a Barbie bike for her birthday and a MONSTER TRUCK cake.

So here I go making a monster truck cake for the party tomorrow. I am a decent cook , but no baker. So I am cheating. I am going to cut and put together this monster truck cake out of premade cakes and decorate it. She wont know the difference right? She is only turning 4.

That's even more industrious than I would be. I would have made cupcakes a placed them together in a monster truck shape, then frosted the whole thing like one. I have convinced my children that cupcakes taste better than cake. Just wait 'till they get older and realise they come from the same box.lol

lol Sounds like our daughters would get along.
I've got a little tomboy princess too....literally will climb trees and play in the mud in her play dress up gowns.
She just tried keeping a lizard as a pet in her purse.

Yep sounds like they would get along. My middle kid is girly and my oldest and bonus girls are tom boys mostly. Eileen is getting it from all around.

I can't take all the credit though. Dave came home and saw the project. I think he thought it was a model to put together. I am not complaining. He cut the cake parts and then we both iced and decorated it. He is an awesome helper , I mean Hubby LOL.

If we weren't all in different places we could get our "princesses" together. Mine does that too. Princess dress outside wrestling with the dogs in the dirt.

That cake is amazing! Dh always ends up frosting the cupcake cakes for me because I'm terrible at it. He'll walk in and see my mess, and just take the spatula away.

Eileen talked about her cake all day and today too LOL. I am glad she liked it.

Yes the tires are choco covered Entenmann's donuts, the body is pound cake and the road is choco covered graham crackers with sprinkles of shaved bakers choco.
