wish there was a "tracking" number for chuck productions

Like if you get an order number when you buy a chuck. And he postes up every day or every other day what numbers he just made that day. So you know how far down the line you are.

I'm just really antcy to get my chuck.

I also have a chuck on order. I read a post somewhere on ECF that delivery is generally about 2 weeks after the order date, if that helps.

He ships Priority Mail so just add and couple of days either way.

I ordered mine on the 22nd of this month and all I needed is confirmation that he received the order.

Then it is just wait 'til it gets here. I know how we nic addicts get, add to that the New Toy anticipation, it can get tuff!

Deep breath and give it time. I'm pretty sure he has a day job and is working very hard to get our Chucks out to us.

I know, easier said than done. Just make sure you have plenty of stuff to hold you over until it gets there.

I ordered mine yesterday, I know the payment went through even through I would like an idea of when to expect it I think it would slow things way down. My thought is don't bother the man too much and he will get to it quick. That augument is working now the see if it still is in a week. LOL

Yep, packages should desend on my house in the next week I spent enough to rent an efficany apartment for a month on my chuck today. I guess I just have to vape my SB until I get it. I am not as bad off as the poor saps that are still on stock batteries I am a luck one

I ordered mine on Dec.3 and received it on the 26th, mailed the 23rd. Not bad considering Xmas was in between, as well as the Little Chuck Xmas contest.

It takes about two weeks on average to get the piece made. It seems this includes those who order "stock", i.e. just a color and no custom graphics and those who order with the graphics as well.

Non-custom ship in a couple of days, from what I have seen.

Coupled together, that is where the two-week average is derived.

Keep in mind, too, that while you did pay for an item, you purchased from an artisan who works in his off-time and makes each Chuck BY HAND. If it takes a tad longer than expected it is probably because he is swamped with orders or he actually had to get some sleep or eat.

The agony really kicks in when you reach the EXACT two-week day from which you ordered. Any minute now, any minute now, any minute now....

It helps to hang out with the Crazies in the "Saturday" thread. Shared suffering is easier, I suppose.

In any event, welcome to the fold...no going back now!

Edit: You can get to the head of he line by bribing Jeff, too. Avoid "sucks" in your posts, as it seems to kick in Jeff's (not so latent) sadism and delay shipping just to torture the poor victim! I've seen it myself...not for the squeemish.

Thanks for the tip! I understand that it takes at least 2 weeks. This is the way I am creating a tracking number of my own. See then I have an idea what day he is on and it helps me track. I really apreciate Jeff's efforts and I am waiting in agony to see it. It will be really hard when I get my packages today and can't use them. I am finding this is the best group of people.

While past performance does not equal future results , I'd say since you ordered on the 30th yours will be "born" on around the 17th or so, and you should get it 2 to 3 days after that.

The "what day is he on" is as good a method as any (I agonized with that, too) to anticipate due date. Try any and all ways to guess on when you'll get yours, it'll help stave off the inevitable madness!

The more I think about it, waiting for your Chuck is similar to a fraternity hazing ritual. It isn't much fun while you are going through it, but when it is over the relief is palpable and then it is really fun because you are on the other side! And it makes having the item all the more fulfilling in the end.

after a lot of reading finally broke down and ordered one, i just got a plain black with the battery sleeve. and also put the batts and charger on order now i just have to wait.
