Hey there!
I'm new to this forum and new to forums in general. If I make a mistake pls help me to correct it. Sorry for my low english skills aswell, but I'm not a native speaker!!!
Soo i quitted 10 yrs of smoking about 2 months ago. Since the moment I picked up my first e-cig i never picked up a normal cigarette ever again. After i heard that I had to build my own coils i threw my prebuilt tank away and bought a coil-builders kit (those of coilmaster e.g.) Soo after a lot of wax-on-wax-off kind of approach i was able to do some decent basic coils.
About three weeks ago i bought a kanger topbox set which included an rta and some other prebuilt coils of other materials such as SS an Ni200. i really liked the tc control vape with Ni200.
I guess its becoming more then an attempt to quit smoking, because three days after that i bought a pico squeeze and an RX 2/3 by Wismec and JBo and some tanks and different rdta's and rda's:lol:.
Now lets come to the point: the difference in tc mode between the Kanger topbox mod and the Wismec.
For what I've experienced The tc of the topbox mod is pretty straightforward. I set the temperature at which i want to vape and it sets the Wattage so that i can vape at that temperature for a max of 10 seconds.
On the other hand the rx 2/3 does it in a very different way that I am not yet to understand. In TC mode I can set the temperature i want to vape at, but I can even set the Wattage (fire button 3x + left)that im want to use (to get to that temperature faster/slower??).
Even using not so high Watts (20-30) I cant vape at 100Celsius. I need to put 270 or higher ( way too hot for me) with a 0.3-0.5 ohm SS coil. It wont let me vape at low temps because it shuts down itself (temperature protection). I'm quite confused with this tc box mod. I thought it should behave like the kanger box does but its weirdly different.

If anyone experienced the same issue pls let me know, maybe you have found a solution to this problem!!!

Thx very much to everyone

So to close this one for all:
In TC mode on the Rx 2/3 when the Message "temperature protection" pops up I dont have to freak out, but keep vaping? This message just means that the device is working and keeping the set temperature?
Yup you got it.

Thnx to everyone for the help!!! Now i just keep the firebutton pressed and tc works as it should do!!! The vape is smoother and at the right temperature! Really enjoyng it now. Last question: With wich settings give tobacco flavors their best?

That is completely subjective. Just play around until you find what temp works best for what liquid. And yes, TC is great once you've got it working, just a nice smooth vape through the whole draw.
