I got my first DIY shipment in a few days ago. It was packed nice with everything in plastic bags, but the first thing I noticed is some of the flavors had leaked a bit. I've made sure to keep the caps tight, but when I set the bag of flavors down on the side, I still get some leaking. Then, I shook up my nic base and got splashed. I thought again maybe it was just loose, but I stored it sideways (inside the plastic bag) and some leaked out as well. And the same with the dropper bottles. I can't shake them because they're leaking too!

I'm trying to keep everything upright from now on and spin instead of shake, but I really don't things are supposed to be like this.

Has anyone else had this experience with Wizard Lab bottles? Is this normal for other companies too?

5 different orders. Over 125 glass bottles with screw on lids. Never a drop leaked. In fact, I am very impressed with the levels of heat sealed plastic bags everything has been shipped in. In my cases, even if a bottle had leaked, the spillage would have been contained inside the first layer of heavy duty plastic. Each bottle has always been inside at least 2 sealed bags.

I remain very happy with their products and shipping methods.

(Not related to WL in any way - other than as a happy customer!)

I would definitely get in touch with WL. I bought from them when I first started DIY'ing and never had any issues. In fact, I thought their products where package great. RTSvapes (their website is suppose to reopen mid May) is also a wonderful place to order from if you haven't heard of them. High Desert Vapes sells Wizard Lab nic and they happen to have a 10% off DIY going on right now. Good luck to ya and happy mixing.

I have bought over 60 flavors from them and have bought Nic several times and have never had so much as a drop leak (I shook my 500ml bottles of Nic very thourghly and shake my flavors before every use). There packaging was second to none on my orders and they were all shipped to me when I was living in the Phoenix area so if heat was the problem, mine should have been bone dry.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I kept my flavors in the ziploc bags mine were shipped in and they are stored in a box on there side. I just looked at them and not a drop has leaked. Furthermore, I use the empty 8ml glass bottles to make samples in and to take extra juice with me when I'm out and about without incident.

Melvin, maybe it's just you and me. I get some seepage from WL flavoring bottles. They pack second to none, but there's usually a little leaked in the inner bag by the time I get it. Never a pool or puddle, just misty. I tighten caps, rinse and dry bottles, and put them in snack-size zip locks. They sit upright in a box that way, like pages in a file cabinet. (oh - I put clear packing tape over the labels, because some flavorings will erase the label if they leak onto it.) I can lift a bag to read the labels of the 7 or so bottles in it, I can open the top seal to access them, and if there is any leakage, it's contained. I never store anything on its side.

By comparison, there is another vendor who sends out plastic drip-top bottles with a heat-plastic type seal around the top. Those leak much worse by the time I get them. Could be because I live at high altitude, though I do get bone-dry bottles from some vendors. As long as it's not a measurable amount, it's not that big a deal to me.

Have you contacted Wizard Labs? Or was this thread the first action you took?

I've not had this happen with any of my orders from WL.
If I were to receive a shipment in the condition you describe I would have immediately contacted the vendor, leaving a public posting until after a response from said vendor.

Doing so mutes perceived sensationalism as well as allowing a full account of possible issues.

Luck to ya.

That is Unusual.

I have Placed Many Orders with WL and have found their Packaging to be about the Best of any Vendor I have used.

But I guess that Mistake can happen.

Have you Contacted WL?

Mine never leaked with shipping but my VG based nicotine 120ml bottle leaks when shaked.

You don't need to shake nic as once it's mixed it won't separate. Secondly it's liquid that accumulates in the cap (when shaken or tilted) and gets on the threads when you put it back on. Dump what you can and wipe the top cap out after you open and that issue is no more.

You don't? I always shake the heck out of mine. You have to shake premade juice because the nic can separate ... And you do have to shake the nic you buy before pouring into smaller bottles for freezing etc!
