My Hubby picked up the most beautiful Pink Roses for me today at the store. There were a dozen of them mixed in with little pink carnations They smelled wonderful. He also picked out a beautiful card that got me all teary eyed. I held them for a few minutes and then we put them back on the shelf and left the store. The thoughts were shared, we don't have to find a place to store stuff in the RV and it sure saves on the pocket book....:)

We've been doing this for years on the holidays TT. We go to the card section of the store and find the one for each other that we would normally buy. Then he reads mine & I read his. We've gotten to the point that it's hard to buy for each other cause if we want something we just get it during the year. It's loads of fun to go out during the holidays and "pick" out presents for each other and "exchange" them without ever spending a dime.

Norry,
Are you and your husband retired? Seems like you are always traveling somewhere. :)
sas

Yep, we are Sugar. He retired about 2 years ago and I did a deferred retirement (Fancy way of saying I don't get my retirement checks for another 10 years). Anyway, we bought a 5th wheel and a Thousand Trails membership and now we travel the good ole US of A. We're having loads of fun and if we pinch our pennies right we can actually live cheaper on the road than at home. Right now we're in Solydad Canyon in Southern California but we leave here on Wednesday and are heading to Vegas. From there we're going to Sedona, AZ. After that, who knows. Maybe another trip to the lounge!!!!!! At some point I definitely want to head to East Texas & meet TT & Mrs. T and Millie I figure Mrs. T will give me the dirt on TT & then I'll be sure to share with everyone on the forum......

To me a perfect Valentines day would just be a nice steak dinner together, maybe a couple drinks with dinner. Maybe going out afterward and seeing a good movie with your lady. Then going home and having a little "cuddle time". That would be the pefect day IMO. Unfortunately, I don't have very good luck in the relationship department, but I'm hoping that is going to change for me here soon. I've never been big on relationships that revolve around lots of needless expensive superficial crap. I just want to find a nice lady that loves me and wants me to love her, and I'll be happy. I'm kind of a simple ole fella.

Hi Norry! What a great story :) My folks "tour the colonies" in their Airstream and have creative ways to celebrate holidays, too. Have to tell them your story. They'll enjoy it.

Awesome Telynau....Do they ever do Facebook or have a blog. I'd luv meeting new people on the road & it would be neat if our paths ever cross....

Hey Norry, we're going to be loading up our Montana before long and taking off too. Hopefully we can meet somewhere, maybe back at the Lounge! That would be a blast! And you won't need my wife to tell you all about me ... I'll do that myself as long as you have a few hours to listen!

That would be great TT...Be sure and let me know when you head out & what direction you're going. I'd listen to your stories all night long or at least as long as my batteries are charged........Note to self....Go buy a theft proof, Cow crush proof, indestructible lock box for juice before meeting up with TT.....
