Just had to build this......Not a new idea as a 3.7v was made over a year ago at this link:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/92811-my-first-mod-camel-carto-box.html

Took 3 months to find the wood box (Zippo lighter wood box from 1998)....then alot of sanding, shaping, staining, etc. to get the finished look......

Kinda wanted a "stealth" VV with digital voltage display.....tight fit but got it all in there....

Variable Voltage using the PTR08100W regulator with a N/C "fire" switch(using the inhibit pin 1) and a "slide" main on/off switch. batteries are Protected 16340's (900mah). 510 "sealed" battery connector. Digital voltage indicator from madvapes.

nice job! I love the evercool circuit!

Yep, the PTR08100W regulator works better than any other regulator I have used....runs cool and the efficiency is wonderful...it is now the only regulator I use....if there is something better out there I would like to know about it.....

Building mods is a hobby so I'm always looking for "better" and "smaller"......and the hard one to find is " a small digital voltage display", which I have not found yet......

Impressive job on that mod. The wooden ones can be quite nice looking.

Thanks........just finished putting another finish coat on it, as I had a few blemishes in it that I had to sand out....so it is curing now.....

Already looking for my next project.....wood cases are hard to find.....but they are out there....

Nice! I would LOVE to have a mod just like that but with a butterfly engraved on the front instead of the Camel stuff :) Would you mind measuring that for me? I might just start keeping my eyes out for a pretty box. I have no clue how to mod anything, but I will find a way to make it happen :D

That's a really good size. My latest mod I use mainly is 3-3/4" x 2.5" x 5/8". Hehe, American measurements, I had to convert. I'm really used to metric measurements now and don't even use American anymore. Metric really is much better, except I still like the F scale better than the C scale for temperature, better resolution. My mod is a bit big, but still comfortable. It's real thin anyway, not much fatter than an AA batt. Yours is probably in a real nice comfort zone. I'm working on doing a smaller one myself. I have to give up battery capacity for it though. Capacity is gigantic with this one (5Ah), runs a week on a charge for an average vaper, a lot less me since I vape about 250mA per hour, I'm a real battery killer, hence the unusually large capacity.
