hmmm. Might need to take my RM2 to home depot and hit it with a bolt gauger and ruler :p

Did you git some wood dude? I can give you an od and approximate depth tomorrow of the cup on mine.

I know my chalice doesn't fit it.

I have a few Woodvils (shrugs and snickers) but I've hidden my mini calipers and depth gauge from myself. Sorry.

The cups on same types of Woodvils vary considerably IDs and depths. Some RBAs fit and others don't. The RM2s fit only two of my 18490 Woodvils, for instance. Can't remember about Mini Woodvils. Killers, macARBs, Hornets, Surface and A7 Mini fit all of the smallest brass cups.

You have several choices with the smaller catchcups. You can have Robert mill an RM2 way down to fit (there msy be a limit as to how far an RM2 Od can be milled down, or have him put a bigger catchcup on, or use one of the smaller RBAs.

What Woodvil size are you talking about?

Okay.... I did a quick check using one milled down RM2 on Woodvils. The milled down was just enough for Anodized Mini 1.0 and not with any Woodvil catchcups considered. RM2 could probably be milled down more for some catchcups that are just slightly too tight or catchcups perhaps reamed out a hair. Or even some catchcups lowered in height (chopped down). The main issue in fitting is the OD where the RM2 base starts.

Several of my Woodvils are 801 atty attachments so don't count. Most of those are going in for sex change and will either have CC change or RM2s milled down to fit.

One 18650 Woodvil has collapsed spring so couldn't test.

Nine (9) Mini Woodvils (14500), all of them, won't take the milled down for metal Mini 1.0.

Two (2) 18490 Woodvil CCs won't take the same RM2.

Three (3) Grand Woodvils 18650 won't take same RM2.

Two (2) VV Woodvils won't take the same RM2.

Two VV Woodvils, one Grand and two 18490 are 801 so can't test.

My counts could be off. And I'm not counting original Woodies that are 801.

So left and for sure taking the same RM2 are one 18490, four 18650, and two VV Woodvils.

The two 510 VV Woodvils that will not take the same RM2 is proof that the RM2 may fit most VVWs but not all for certain.

So I'm confused enough. How bout everyone else?:D

Lol! I think i'll just take some measurements when I get there. I still need to decide what kind of wood I am going to use and do the fabrication then figure out where to get it.

Yes, it is going to be an Orangutan original :D

If you are building your mod, wouldn't it just be best to use the RM2 for your measurements? Make your drip well a size to fit. It doesn't matter if it is a replica of a wood REO. In fact probably better if it is not in my opinion.

Yeah. I'm about to order a RM2 for the mini 14500 I traded for. I'm more looking for the ID. I guess the ID/depth of a grand would give me the info I need since the woodvil's vary so much. I just don't own calipers.

The RM2 will fit the mini 14500 if you specifically ask to have it milled from Rob.
I haveon mine and they work great!
