okay, I bought this MOD from Reo called woodvil. it look very nice but I am having a problem with it. I put a LR 510 standard size atty on it. it seems like, I either flood it till I get the juice in my mouth or it taste burnt like there is no juice in it and as soon as I push more juice it (even a couple of taps), it gets flooded again. any advice? I am getting frustrated with it and I know there are millions of good reviews about it. thanks in advance

Sky, have you checked in the Reosmod subforum's active community for help and advice?

The Woodvil runs hot (to me) and I use 2.0 and 2.5ohm attys on my 801 version. Others use LR of 1.5 to 1.8ohm, I guess but I'm not sure. No matter, there's a bit of a learning curve with the Reo and I flooded many an atty before I got 'the touch' but it was worth the effort to learn. And, there's one brand of atty that allows too much juice in on my 510 Reo so try another brand if you have one.

If you haven't done this already, remove the atty, cover your Woodvil (to protect it if you're worried) and squeeze it over the sink. (I do this with water through my Reo Grand when I clean it) Juice should shoot out of the hole in the well and this will give you an idea of how much pressure to apply to get a modest atty feed.

To resolve a flooded atty I try the following - nothing tried and true about it...your mileage may vary but I hope it helps.

1. If you still have the atty on, remove and blow it out
2. Put the atty back on and gently squeeze the bottle as you gently draw on the atty to feed it (not to vape)
3. Fire the device without drawing
4. Take a test vape and if there isn't enough juice, do the squeeze/draw thing again

sounds like a issue of over and underfeeding. when you press the bottle, let go the minute you see just the smallest amount of juice coming in were the atty connects in the catch cup. when the flavor changes or you don't hear the atty wet, it's time to press again. try waiting between presses. around 5 vapes?

I dont have my Reo yet, but I do have another bottom feeder. I was struggling with a similar kind of issue, I was sure my atty was burnt. It tasted dry and burned and I would feed more until flooded and that wasn't any better. Turns out the juice I was using just didn't go well with the LR heat. On a whim I swapped to a different flavor and it was working perfectly. May not be your solution but I just thought I would share my experience.

Come on over to the REO forum Reos Mods Lots of people willing to help. It sounds like you just haven't gotten the hang of how wet to keep your atomizer. It takes a little practice, and some atomizers are more forgiving than others. :)

thanks mlinky, I am already getting a hang of it more. Still gets juice in my mouth now and then. I guess need some serious training. Would be cool if there was a REO Boot Camp :) I will stop bu the Reo's forum later. Again thanks

If you are using a thinner juice, try using the reducer tube (the skinny little piece of tubing that fits inside of the main tube). Also, learn to master the "blind squonking" technique - press on the bottle while drawing on the atty (and not firing it), and stop when you hear gurgling or feel any resistance.

I don't know if it has been said but what really helped me when I got my reo was the advice to squeeze the bottle gently then do a dry suck on the atty so the juice gets into the atty and then vape away. Everyone has different techniques and this one really helped me.
