that is the tung oil and from what everyone says and with my woodvil the smell will fade as time goes by hope this answers your question
I had the same problem, I could really taste it in the flavor of my juice.
All I can say is it went away by day 3
I chose to vape through it.
It helps if you leave it with the door off at night while you sleep.
And if your using a cartomizer on it ..... don't, not for the first week. The smell can impregnate the filler and its bad.
Once it airs out you can use cartomizers or atomizers and everything taste great.
I love my woodvils !!
Mine came yesterday, love it! It also has the tung oil smell, but I'm sure it will go away. What a nice, smooth finish, and everything fits like a glove. I set up one of my Mini's for the Mrs. to try - gonna see if I can turn her into a REOnaut ;-)

I wonder if you stick it in the freezer for an hour or two if it will help the process out and harden everything up, just a thought !

I wouldn't .... if you can get through the first 3 days your all good.
My second one only took a day to clear up.
I've had my Woodvil for at least a week. I vape it daily, and I'm still getting a very strong tung oil smell that is even ruining the taste of my juices. I sure hope that it goes away soon.
I've had mine for a week with...door off...sitting in the window...still smells very strong.
I haven't even tried to use it yet.
Man when I first got mine and asked around to other woodvil owners they thought I was crazy I think.
It was making me sick the first couple of days.
Sorry its happening, but glad its not just me.
I did some research and they said you could try cleaning the woodvil with lemon oil to get the tung oil smell out, but the best recommendation is to just let it cure naturally.
Let it get some fresh air,
Get in a car, hold your Woodvil out the window and drive 60-80 mph for 2-3 hours.

It's driving me crazy to not be able to play with my new "toy", but I just can't stand the taste and smell. Maybe Rob will chime in with some helpful tips. Until then, it just sits there taunting me.
