First of all, apologies if this has been asked before, did a quick check but can't find any reference in earlier threads.
So here's my question, can knitting wool be used as a wick ?
My Wife is a keen knitter and has metres of leftover wool, which if I can use it, would keep me in wicks for the next 30 years . I realise, I wouldn't be able to use coloured wool (cos of the dye), but there's plenty of natural wool in different plys or thicknesses.
So has anyone had any experience using wool. All suggestions welcome
