I am writing this post, and must admit, I am quite LIVID! Vaped on my normal 12nic and realized that I definitely needed a lower nic level. So I swapped it out, glass was a bit hard to remove, but not too bad. Cleaned and dried it and put it back together and vaped on my new flavor for about 6 days. Decided to change out the flavor again. Repeated same steps above. This time however, the glass was a bit like it was snagged. So I tried to reverse the glass to let it settle back into place..... CRACK.... Then what went on for about 30 minutes was me trying to remove what broken glass I could. NO WONDER they give you an extra glass casing. It's almost as if they KNEW their design for holding the glass in place was terrible. Now I will never be changing flavor or cleaning this thing again (aside from changing burnt coils) and will be purchasing a Kanger SubTank in the future. Hope this helps others out there.

Is it really necessary to completely break it down and clean it between flavors?
Maybe not necessarily, but I prefer to be sure that no flavors/aroma's linger from a previous flavor when it's a total different flavor.
Depends on what flavors you're talking about, if they're the least bit similar no, if going from a strong to a light flavor it may help lessen a few funky tasting hits.

Maybe you could try applying a little vg around the lip of the glass, might help to keep it from sticking. Just a thought, i have not attempted to remove the glass on mine yet. Sorry about your Atlantis. I sure do like mine.
I just got this for my IPV3 couple days ago, it's pretty awesome! I have not remove the glass on mine yet, I just rinse, dry and refill.. but thanks for the heads up.
I've had no problems what so ever with the Atlantis tank. I'm enjoying the performance this tank provides. As for changing flavors I find that all that's necessary is to make sure theres no excess juice from your last flavor change and refill the tank with the new flavor. I've noticed that the first few vapes will be a mixture of flavor until new flavor takes over. Only time I would completely clean the tank, and coil is when I absolutely hated the previous flavor or if the last flavor was a strong flavor with a totally different flavor profile. Even then I've had no problems disassembling the tank to clean. Time and patience is a virtue.
There have been a few post/threads about people having trouble getting the Nautilus and Nautilus minis apart.
I don't own one myself but a friend of mine does. I haven't use a rta o tank atomizer in about 8 to 9 months (i only use drippers or rda) but thinking on getting one. Not a big fan of the glass tank only because i drop my mod all the time but is a nice rta.
Get another different kind of Aspire Tank, My first one was a Aspire Tank i forgot wich one but it was one of the best.
I'm the same way unless I'm switching to a similar flavor. Like Orange to peach or apple or something. But if I'm going from coffee to fruit or chocolate to menthol or something, everything gets taken apart and cleaned even if it was cleaned 1 tank ago.
Aspire just released the hollow metal replacement tanks...not in 5ml though. Set for release the 15th (I believe) same day as the replacement 5ml glass.

I've heard horror stories about the glass tank breaking. I've had my atlantis for about a month now and probably removed the glass portion more than a handful of times with no issue but can certainly imagine how much of a pain it must be to remove broken shards of glass from the top sleeve.
In one of his reviews, PBusardo also had difficulty breaking down the tank and removing the glass. He was very careful and didn't break the glass, but he did note that it was concerning. Sorry to learn about your unfortunate incident.
