Since the emails will be coming from different people, one email blast per person is all I'm talking about, it shouldn't raise any type of flag for the person sending the email. I hope this can be settled before people start getting scared and don't want to do this.
My intention is to NOT cause any difficulties for ANYONE involved. If I thought there was a risk...
In case Kristin comes here, I will not be able to check on this thread for most of the day today. I'm going to be away from Internet access from 12:30 till later this evening. I will check back after I get back home.
I'm not an IT guy, even though I do teach computer, however, I think that since the emails are coming in randomly from different points around the world and at different times it would be very difficult to trace back to senders, also it would NOT look like your typical email bomb that can have up to millions or billions of emails hitting the server extreme fast, one after another.
So I think we're safe on that piont.

The only problem I can forsee is if an IT guy/gal happens to notice the repeating subject line and doesn't take the time to read at least a couple of them to see if the content is indeed safe or not (malicious). After reading, they should realize that they are not dangerous. If they don't read an email sent there is a chance they could manually block all emails that come in using similar wording in the subject line.
On the bright side, the event that serveral media stations are "allegedly" hit with "alleged" email bombs at the same time might be a news story in itself! And hopefully investigated and reported unbiasly.
