Nicotine, as i remember, forces your body to release glucose into the bloodstream and thus decreasing your appetite since you always feel like you just ate something sweet. Up the nic level by a notch to amplify the effect.

Also, the anxiety of changing a habit like smoking can lead to over-eating. It will pass soon as you make the transition. If necessary, still allow yourself to smoke, just less than before.

go ahead and take the jump. everyone is different. if you notice any weight gain, take action immediately to increase activity and decrease intake.....lots and lots of water which you will need to increase due to vapeing will also help decrease appetite. don't put it off due to fear of what may never happen to you. best of luck.

Though there is a possibility of weight gain, i think gaining weight is certainly better than staying on with those analogs which gives u so much harmful chemicals. Any weight gain can be countered by exercising or dieting, but you cant get rid of those harmful substances from the analogs when they go into your body! Health is more impt!

many years ago, during a failed attempt to quit analogs, i gained some significant weight. i was eating poorly and not exercising. this time around i was already into a disciplined exercise and diet routine, so no weight gain. as a matter of fact i continued to loose weight. i was 255lbs in fall of '11 and now i float around 175lbs.

I have actually been losing weight. Whether that's directly due to vaping, I dunno. I bicycle a lot and I've definitely noticed an increase in stamina. I've been riding farther and taking less time to get there. I think it's pretty much an individual thing, but to answer the question of whether you'll automatically gain weight when trading smoking for vaping, it's no.

My GP and Smoking cessation expert told me that after quitting smoking the body was repairing itself in a major way and would needs lots of water and nutrition. First 6 months I ate well and gained 10 lbs. I then realized I had the opportunity to be involved once again in the sports I once loved. Lost the 10 lbs and fat turned into muscle. GP says I'm now at a perfect weight.

Three times in my life when I "quit" smoking, I gained weight. When I started vaping about six months ago, I lost weight. In both cases, the weight change up or down was 30+ pounds. What I know now as a result of vaping is that when smoking I actually substited it for eating. Also, with vaping, my health is so much better that I'm way more active walking a mile a day and while smoking could barely make a block without feeling winded, weakened muscles and tired... not enough oxygen tends to do that. ;)
