Joyetech ego one kit. Advertised as "organic glass tank", melted the "glass" within the week of receiving it. Bought a second one, battery fell over on a table and the button broke and stuck auto firing, along with the tank constantly leaking since I received it. Bought a third one, tank also drains, battery came doa(broken button like my second) and joyetech will not cover the warranty as it was "user error" - somehow I broke it with telepathy before it came in the mail I guess :/

Never had so much failure in a single line of products... heard of a lemon, but not a swimming vat of acid...

Taifun GTII (glass) tank from Fasttech. Looks amazing, but I think it defines mystery metal. Always gets a weird taste after awhile. I have mixed feelings about the concept being any good as well. Giant chunk of metal junk.
Leaking spitting clearos such as a budget CE5.
Wicking problems constant on the CE4s.
I actually don't think the "classic" unflavored disposable cigalikes I started experimenting with first weren't the worst, considering this was 3 years ago and at least they worked as claimed. That one of my fave devices (EVOD) costs only $1 more (plus shipping) now though...

Damn, people on this thread are saying the eGrip from them is good. Is Joyetech just really hit or miss?

From my shoes, everything I own with their branding on it, has/had problems.
Both egrips I own leak horribly throughout the entire units (one sent for warranty and was denied it "because of the vendor I purchased it from isn't registered")

Alot of people have praise, but there are the few that have nothing but trouble.
The only "credit" I can greatly give to joyetech for them coming up with the idea for the ego one(protected, 22mm tube, unregulated like mech) - without them, I don't think the other companies(tesla, ijust, ect) that followed suit would have ever "came up with" the idea for a 22mm "mech-like" battery with protections.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what are nanos? I went from disposables to a plastic clearomizer, didn't mess with refillable cartos myself. I hear they're terrible though.

I had this big angry formerly ...... addicted dude in a support group I was in tell me I sorely needed to upgrade while vaping on his big ... light saber size tube mod with a metal RTA, during a smoke break. He still smoked analogs too though. Because of that dude I got a ce4 plastic clearo, then an EVOD, then an ETS-BDC glassomizer, and now I'm on the horizon Arctic tank. My vape issues are pretty much over with the Arctic, though it's really easy to fry a coil if you don't open the airflow enough/prime the coil enough. Otherwise it makes great big milky clouds and is really great for flavor.

Nanos are like a cross between a carto and clearo. At least the one I had was. A small disposable tank with a polyfill(ish) inside. Gross. But there are probably better ones out there, Mine came from SmokelessImage.com and I did not like it.

I finally got an iClear 16 and loved it then they got scarce so switched to an aspire BDC. Then I got an Aspire ET-S BVC and I am in heaven!!

I freaking hated the CE4s. Two of them broke in my pocket and I decided I had enough. I actually really liked the generic EVOD BDC I got for $7 at a bottle shop in Portland Oregon, 49th mini mart. It broke in my pocket too though because the tip was plastic and was also the cover for the tank. If I had a mod that would actually work well with an EVOD I would get an EVOD style glassomizer. I have been thinking of an iJust starter kit, they are $15 some places, but I have heard such bad things about Joyetech...

That's funny, I actually really liked the ETS-BVC, but my mod would always fry the coils even on 13w unless I used super thin juice, and the coils have flooding problems if the liquid is too thin. I still have it, maybe I should just get new coils because it really was a good vape with the right juice and the right wattage (8w on my mod). I really liked Romancing the Strawberry 100% VG from Virgin Vapors at 12mg/ml in it, I could get really big satisfying clouds but the coils would gunk quickly. I was thinking of the Nautilus as an upgrade at first but I decided to go right to sub ohming.

My worst purchase was a vision spinner/Kanger protank mini...it was pathetic ...also was 4 yrs ago as a newbie.. lol

I have heard the protank is bad but the coils are good? The Anyvape Davide mini takes protank coils and people seem to love it, would you disagree?

My first cigalike, tried it and it didn't work for me at all so I stuck it in a drawer and left it there, a week later I shot it out and gave up on vaping for over a year...

They shouldn't sell bad products like that...

21st century cigalikes had me going back to analogs as soon as their pathetic batteries ran out of charge.

IStick 20w. Approaching two Christmases ago, I was looking to step up from my MVPs (12w). Innokin said the MVP 20w would be out for Christmas. Innokin has some really accurate power. Anyway, they didn't make it in time. Eleaf just came out with the 20w for Christmas sales, so I told my wife that was my present. Anyway, I tried it and the power signal was just wacky. I tossed it within the week. And the MVP was still not out.

Eleaf just pushed it out to get the sales. They did good as far as marketing. Because of the uproar, the cranked out the 30w. The 50w came out about the same time. The 30w fixed a lot.

I think they were pretty much a new company then. Anyway, going from the Innokin power signal to the IStick...bad Christmas.

Nope, I don't know about it these days..I quit protanks a long time ago and don't ever use them anymore, nor does anybody I know who vapes.... Its what I started with as a newbie about 4 yrs ago and now I've moved on to much more efficient gear

Damn I always wondered if the iStick series was a good deal. Since I have two 18650s I never considered an internal battery mod but I had always heard bad things. I am thinking of upgrading from the Kanger KBOX 40w to the IPV D3 mod running at 80W. I imagine it will slurp a lot of power from my batteries (the KBOX already has horrible life at 40w) but I want to just get a bunch of spare batteries to compensate.

I started my subohm journey with the Horizontech Arctic tank. What would you recommend for a next tank (keeping in mind that I'm what you'd call a budget vaper with barely $40/mo to spend on juice+mods+tanks+coils). I have blown my vape budget for this month on 400ml worth of DIY supplies plus 75ml of drakes vapes YOLO lavender lemonade which I for for $5, plus $27 worth of Vapemoar I got on store credit (165ml of juice). I was looking at the Aspire Cleito but my KBOX40 which only goes down to 0.4 ohms would only be able to run the 0.5ohm coils. I was looking at the Freemax Starre and Uwell Crown and Eleaf Melo 2 as well. I think I would have to get a new mod like the IPV D3 80W or the Sigelei Spark 75w TC or the Smoktech Xcube Mini 75w TC (all around $45) to run those tanks properly though.
