Just started a couple of days ago. Mostly because cigarettes are Really Expensive. Not smelling like an ashtray is a side bonus.

Based on recommendations from a random person, rather than start with a kit:

Couple of TRex 1100mAh batteries, charger.
Smoktech XL 1.5ohm cartomizers.
A couple of 510 Cones
Some Delrin tips.

I'm not sure the "cough syrup" juice was the best idea -- I was all "hey, I smoke menthols, those should be menthol-esque." After three days I'm thinking "less syrupy would be nice."

Maybe Random Person's recommendation of cinnamon should have been heeded.

I've also noticed I tend to vape like I smoke a pipe, rather than a cigarette.

Sounds like you are off to a good start!

There are plenty of menthol juices, so it might be good to try some of them.

Several juice vendors have sample sizes -- try a bunch and try things you don't think you like! Try something from each of the "types" listed above.

Most of us experience a lot of change in our taste buds as we detox from the analogs---so often a flavor is icky one day and nice another day! I couldn't begin to find an "all day vape" for months---and still don't stick to just one flavor. I like several tobacco blends as well as a couple sweeter like Waffle and Strawberry!

After this is gone, I think I'm done with menthol. Clove sounds mighty tempting, or maybe black tea...

Next order I make samples will definitely be included.

I enjoyed the occasional menthol cigarette when I was still on analogs... I've tried at least 15 different types of "Menthol" and NONE of them have come remotely close to the same thing.

However
, I did find out that I really enjoyed Copper Creek's Creme de Menthe

Edit: But I will say that Johnson Creek is my go to supplier for the majority of my juices.. and they have a nice sampler.

I'm using the cough drop from tastyvapor.

It's not too far off from really cheap menthol lights (mostly menthol with little or no tobacco flavor).

I'm not overwhelmed (I was smokng American Sprit full-flavor menthols). Besides, it might be for the best to get something completely non-cigarette tasting.

Welcome to the forums and, yes, getting a good sampler pack may be your best bet. Be sure to check the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...iscussion/146219-coupon-code-master-list.html which may help you save some money in the beginning.

Darn it, I could have used them coupon codes a week ago.

Welcome and enjoy! Since tastes are very subjective, it is hard to give advice on those.... I find myself switching back and forth between my mixed up sweet flavors and Dekang Nport. I liked a Newport once in a while, but they made me sick if I smoked too many of them as I was rolling up my own natural tobacco, non-menthol.

I would suggest finding a good sale (watch the deals and steals posts) and trying some different flavors. Some of them will need to sit for a bit before they taste good. If you let them sit in a cool, dark place with the caps off for a week or so, it usually greatly improves the flavor and will get rid of most of the perfume like smell and taste...

HAAAA! It starts here and now you'll never be the same! You will probably go through many before finding one you will stick with for long. That's what's so fun about this! Happy adventures to you

Well, a sampler is on the way, and one of the Atomic Cinicide.

And a small bottle of the black tea -- I learned from my first newbie mistake and am not ordering astonishing quantities of something I may or may not like.

You never know until you try, i guess...I'm a repeat offender of over ordering...Then I'm stuck with crap i hate

Well, the menthol cough drop is light enough that it can be mixed with something else -- it actually goes nicely with the Earl Grey (figured this by accident by mixing up my cartomizers), so I might order an Earl Grey doubler and mix it in.

Other flavors:

Clove is tasty but harsh. Reminds me of when I had a go of trying to make my own clove cigarettes with rolly tobacco and clove powder. I'll keep it for an occasional "treat" as regularly smoking would be too painful.

Atomic Cinicide is like hitting hit upside the head with a sack of Fireballs. I'm going to have to wait until my lungs have settled a bit (I have the quitter's flu) before giving it another try.

And since I'm doing short reviews, I'm also trying "Gecko" (with WTA) from Aroma Ejuice: It's buttery and nutty, the closest thing I can think of is Waffle House pecan waffles before they have syrup on.

The WTA does seem to provide that extra "missing" factor that just nicotine wasn't giving me and kept me wanting a "real" cigarette. I'll stick with the other (and cheaper) nicotine-only stuff for most of the day, but this will make a better pre-bed vape.

50 people will give you 50 different opinions about what they like, everybody is different. That being said, I would go to the e-juice review section, and read...a lot. I have found juices that I love that way (Orchard Frost from Backwoods Brew), and I have found juices that I hate (Boba's Bounty from AVE) It really is a trial and error process. I was a month and a half in before I found my go to all day vape. Good luck on your vaping journey!

I like Kick Bass's Peppermint Ice Cream. It's "kind of" like the Marlboro Smooth imo....but better ;) I also like they Ry4's these days. I ordered a creme de menthe not long ago, but it reminded me of toothpaaste. LOL! Minty fresh and all that jazz! I like my juice a little on the sweet side but not too sweet. I'm not wild about fruity flavors or cinnamon...but the peppermint ice cream, candy canes, ry4's and such I like :)
