Would Center Post Adjust Help???

Battery Gurus...please weigh in...

So I FINALLY got my 60+ y/o mother on the vaping wagon with an XL manual Kit and some Wowboy cartos. I spoke with her today and she said one of the XLs is not charging (never turns green on the ac charger). I've never had this problem before, but remember hearing about it. I can't remember if there's a fix (a reset, center post tweek, etc.) and the search tool is returning TOO many general results for me to find what I need.

I'm going back to comb through the archives but do you have any quick suggestions or a thread link you can point me to? I'm going to have to talk her through any actions over the phone as we're 3000 miles apart. Youtube vids are out as she's on dial up.

i have the same problem with my shortie ,it will charge on the car v4life charger but not on the regular v4l charger lmao ...yes i raised the post

Ms. Nancy, it won't work on the wall adapter but on the usb cable correct? That's usually a sign the threads need to be slightly sanded down, or your wall charger is having issues. If it works for your others batts, then it's just that batt needs sanding. It's not screwing in all the way.

even a manual ? yes the wall charger works for other batts ....but this one only works on usb ....

Never heard of a manual having that issue Ms. Nancy, but never used a manual shorty either.... This one is a real quizzlebub....

Dang Snow...that video is great (I even made the credits...LOL). I'm going to have her try the center post lift and hopefully that gets her up and running. Then I'll remind her not to over tighten cartos/charger.

I wish she had a decent internet connection so she could watch this instructional.

Is there anyway she could go to the library or someplace and get on the internet to watch the videos ?

It's a great idea, but I don't think she'll do it Anita.
I sent the link to her work email, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's blocked (she works at a High School, they block everything).
If she has problems with my step by step instruction, I may try sending the video to my brother. Maybe she can view it on his phone???

I agree...I'm a visual person as well.

What I should have done was order all this stuff before I went to visit her 3 weeks ago. Then we could have gone through everything together. At the time though, I just wasn't sure she'd be receptive to it and didn't want to spend the money if she wasn't committed to trying.

I've had to insert the battery into the charger a few times before it starts charging, but if the post is clean it probably needs to be raised. Hope you can square her away soon.
