Would seem I made a mistake (new 510 user)

So.... I just got in my 510 starter kit from madvapes.com. I opted for the 510 because so many of you seem dreadfully fond of it. However is would seem I've mad a minor error. madvapes was out of manual starter kits. So I though "whats the difference. I may even prefer auto." I was wrong the auto shut off is as 8 seconds however it would seem that 8 seconds in cumulative. The bat shut off after two drags last about 5 seconds each. testing confirmed that regardless of drag time (under 8 seconds) unless one allows 8-10 seconds between drags the auto shut off kicks in.
Also its difficult to activated the bat at all... the cusp where the Bat and atomize come into contact is not air tight this means that you have to suck very hard and fast to activate the vacuum thing on the auto battery...

In short... I need some manual batteries Does anyone know of a site other then madvapes.com that has a 2cig starter kit at 29.99? Preferably with a wider assortment of colors then black and white

I charged the bats 8 hours each... and I don't know what a primer pump is...

I agree with buying an eGo.... can barely chain vape 2 batteries dead in a full day! Uses same parts as 510 too.

One workaround is to take what's called a 'primer puff' - where you make the noise of drawing to start the battery but do not continue to draw. You then wait for the atomizer to atomize the liquid and then draw. Another work around is to start to draw but not very hard - because you'll get juice in your mouth - this sometimes starts the battery and sometimes it doesn't. If it does, if you then increase the amount of draw pressure and draw slowly like drinking a thick shake through a straw. But this prolonged drag can also take time to where you may run into the auto battery's 'cutoff' where the atomizer shuts off. Sometimes a 'waiting period' to where you can't start the cycle again, because the auto battery is still in the 'cutoff mode'. Iow, the battery controls you at that point.

I have the DSE901 and got it with the default automatic batteries. I also got a manual USB passthru so I think I understand the difference between the 2 types. My experiences may help you. The cutoff issue can be worked around a bit. Like others say, take a quick second-ish long puff. Just draw air through the tip into you mouth vs actually inhaling. That should get the automatic battery to turn on. Wait another second or so then take a long draw filling your mouth with the vapor. Then inhale it. Make it a 2 step process. That will help extend the time until you go for the next draw. Hopefully enough to get past the timer on the battery.

It took me a bit of experimentation to get it down but once I realized it isn't an electronic "cigarette" but a different thing and stopped trying to puff like I did with an analog it got much better.

A good pcc solves the batt problem if you want to keep the straight cig look. Check out the Revolver Gemini(big fan of this). Comes with a manual and auto battery BUT has a regular and a heavier atomizer that work very well with a auto batt....lots of vape in the short cutoff time. Adn the PCC shuts off when your batt is charged and charges manual batts...good stuff. The changeup batt atty option is cool!!!
I also have a Tornado but like to carry a pack in public so I have both.

It depends on what you like........I use auto batts when I type and vape like a dragon all other times........good luck!!!!

I agree with crowbartool!!! I started off with an NJoy auto setup and hated it. I moved up to a 510 manual kit and it worked like a champ except for the battery life. Since I got my Tornado, most of my problems have been solved. I change out my battery every day at about 5:30!!! ALL DAY ON ONE BATTERY!!!

You can find cheap manual batteries for the 510 at cignot.com, healthcabin.com, and heaven-gifts.com, the only problem on most of the china suppliers is the $15 shipping for a $10 order.

Welcome and yes to all the above,,,,Ego manual batteries,,,I love...Expensive, but also will need the fast charger for it....Two hours to charge,,,very fast and reliable...At least so far....lol.....Good Luck.....and of course Enjoy
